The references she pulls from are a little different from her current age mates in Pop. It's refreshing in that's sense.

 

Headphones On is giving Teddy Riley, I can't really say that about the rest of them. 

A successful transition from social media star to respected singer. Maybe tiktokers wanting to sing will step up their game after seeing her success.

Nicotine addiction

She's giving what the edgy gays want. A homage to the underground 90's pop landscape, catchy hooks, MV's with no plot but bringing beautiful and artsy visuals. I think she also has a lot of +30 yo gays support because of that and that's something that Sabrina, Tate, Olivia and Billie haven't achieved because they are very Gen Z coded. Anyway I don't see her breaking that much into the mainstream but I can see her having a loyal and solid fanbase.

similar to charli xcx fanbase? if so she may have a chance entering the mainstream.

I think a big part of it is her commitment to her creative vision.

 

That's a huge part of what makes pop fun. All of the eras we love are ones where the artist has a singular uncompromising vision and they pursue it: Future Nostalgia, BRAT, The Fame/Monster, Teenage Dream etc. 

 

Lots of pop stars today don't really have that so it's refreshing when someone like Addison comes in with a fresh perspective 

A cohesive and great SINGULAR body of work which is hard to create since it takes some artists decade into their career to put out and some will simply never be able to accomplish(Katy). 
 

What her and her 2 collaborators accomplished with this debut is their ability to string and meshed together so many sub-genres without compromising the sonic link between each track. Therefore, despite the many different sub-genres, it still sounds so cohesive both socially and lyrically. If the vision and ideas came from her, then she has it in her to be a great musical artist given that this is just her debut unless she already peaked with it heeheehee

 

On the more serious note, she's here to defeat McMaga and to ensure art is alive and well!

She is very cute and adorable to me, like that one popular girl who was actually nice to everyone. If you watch her Zane Lowe interview she also comes off as intelligent and aware. A little bit of Charli payola. Pap walks. She hooked with me "I got it bad" and at this point i'm impressed she put out a while cohesive project that hardly goes for that sound at all. Something about her is funny too and i think she is somewhat trying to be a good person. Who knows but the music is good. She is our new girlie.

I just ADDISON ( the album), but I would seriously send her on a singing boot camp if I could. Her tone is so girly and pretty but she needs to learn how to sing with DYNAMICS. She already is lowkey a great dancer so she can become a better entertainer with better singing!
