Remixes are probably one of the most constant promotional strategies for a pop artist in the modern era. Some have features but most are normal commissioned remixes from popular DJs. Do you listen to remixes when your fav releases them? If so, what are some of your favorites?

Mariah has always been best of the best when it comes to remixes, that Heartbreaker one is phenomenal. I love that she'd re-record vocals just to make the track perfect.

No. I've never really been into them, except for the TFM ones back in the day.

i use them sometimes... i fear most of them arent that good

This is my personal opinion but Gaga and Madonna, idkw maybe because they're dancing queens, making dance music, their remixes are so good. I partly understand the comparison years ago ijbol

Not enough to answer yes to this. There are some remixes I enjoy, and a couple of remix albums that I do listen to from time to time, but not enough to say that I ever feel any desire to go to them except very rarely.

If it's just a random DJ remix I probably won't check it out. If it's with a different artist I probably will, especially when it's for a special project (fe brat / chromatica remix albums). Do love some of them, tho, especially for in my running playlist

 

The ones from the 90s, 00s and early 10s. I haven't been listening to any of the recent remixes; I've definitely fallen out of touch with them as it relates to newer music.
