DWAS has been a complete SMASH ever since its release. APT made some noise (both, figuratively and literally), however has become a fad. Is APT going to be remembered like DWAS?

Yes, Die With A Smile is still a smash hit almost a year later, and I think it'll be a timeless ballad just like Celine, Mariah, and Whitney's songs.

APT is a cute little quick single.

 

But DWAS has become a classic. People are singing it at graduations, at weddings, at funerals. 

I'm sure it's still a smash in elementary schools. It's also still being used to make AI videos with cats on insta

the song is currently #7 on Global Spotify with 1.6billion streams and it ALSO has 1.6 billion on Youtube (more than DWAS, cuz kids like the video + bigger to kpop audience)

it's a monster smash no matter how u look at it. 

Just cuz DWAS is bigger and u guys don't like it cuz APT is more like a kid bopz type of song doesn't change that APT is a monster smash.  

And no, it's huge to the point that it's not a fad not even in comparision to DWAS, APT actually still feel huge (as it is).

Nah, it's big. It does feel primed to do worse in the long run though (even factoring out the difference in their size right now).

No, it was just heavily Tiktok-fueled at the beginning because it is geared towards a young audience but it is still a massive hit. 

 

DWAS obviously has wider, more global cross-appeal. It's just timeless and an instant classic which is why it has sustained at the top for so long.

DWAS, BOAF and APT will be the biggest hits of this decade in that order 

As much as I dislike APT, it's a smash and still doing amazing. You do not have to attack it in order to praise dwas

The real question is why are kids listening to a song about a drinking game???

 

Also, kids also listen to Baby Shark, so I'm not sure the whole "kids" shtick is a compliment

and Die with a Smile for the gen x and boomer generation and late milenials

Both songs served their purpose 
im more in the younger side. so APT is the number one in my playlist
