2 hands is a better example than Sports car

But something like Kesha's Joyride and a lot of Chappell's and Charli's singles should've been what's posted in the OP.

Yea I almost put in The Giver, but it flopped. Sports Car has a loud chorus and I will stand by that. It's like 2000s Crunk-rock.

I saw loud bussy pop at first

  • Yet you posted that Zara Larsson song?

That Gnarly song is absolutely abominable. It shows how PC Music was truly so ahead of its time that Gnarly sounds dated and extremely label contrived. You can tell it was written in a writing camp (ex. Madison Love) because none of the girls in "Katseye" are on the credits.

The only genre that is having maxmalist revivals is K & Jpop. Most of those songs are pretty minimal, and not that busy (Only Gaga's is maximal< everybody else is pretty standard) Pretty Ugly barely has a switch up in the instrumental and the format is standard. Gnarly is minimal as hell but abrasive. Post Malone is minimal, standard format and lacks layers in the instrumental. Sport Car is standard with only one layer of instrumental for the chorus and verses.

This is the average, modern day maximalist production.

thank god... I LOVE maximalism when it comes to pop productions , hearing the instrumentals change so much thought the song and explode at the end
