Abracadabra and Taste are extremely polished and sleek despite the maximalism, so it's not the same as the 2010-2014 esque loud pop/dance.

Obviously not GONE, but there was a major decline in noisy-pop music from 2015-2020. Look up the top hits of 2019 it's so sad  I blame trap-pop and the chill Lorde/Billie styles for that.

My faves were not excluded from this narrative. But I agree when I heard ioio, 2 Hands and Sports Car I was kinda hoping the entire album was more in your face like those tracks. Too much chill-trap.
