ijbol remember when Solar Power had no CD bc of her climate activism - she said F the planet for this album, we cheered!

  • new track in 3 days.

  • I believe Melodrama remains her magnum opus, but Virgin sounds absolutely incredible. It's the Lorde we know, yet it also feels incredibly refreshing. In Hammer, she mentioned, "I might be born again,

Where's Blood Orange?

Those are songwriting credits, so he's probably credited just as a producer

I really want this album to be good but I'm worried :ducky:

I really like both singles and my fav from her album is always not a single (at least prior to the album - Ribs, Supercut, The path) so I'm waiting impatiently

super excited for this album. for some reason i feel like i'm really gonna vibe with it

Love Lorde and I'm excited for this.. but I have to be honest, these short song lengths are disappointing me.

Someone mentioned on this previous page that Pure Heroine was only 37:07 long, but Pure Heroine had 10 tracks. That's an average of 3:43 per track, which is a great average per track.

This new album is 34:51 long with 11 tracks, for an average of 3:10 per track :rip: that's extremely short. It's actually very rude considering it's been 4 years since her last album, and 8 years since her last REAL album.

Mind you 'BRAT' is a banger and has an average of less than 3:00 per track...

Omg the discourse about track lengths is insane lmao. Y'all haven't even HEARD the songs yet. You can be mad about the one that's less than 2 mins, sure. But the rest of the lengths are very average, idk why people are so shocked. Melodrama, Pure Heroine & Solar Power all have only THREE SONGS LONGER THAN 4 mins… so who cares that Virgin only has one. She has never been known for making long songs.

I mean song length isn't a guarantee for quality. 3 minutes is fine.

A lot of fans are debating whether or not they will listen "Hammer" when it comes out. They are afraid of ruining the album experience. What do y'all think?

Same. Also I listened to MOTY and found myself bored so I think it'll sound better with the album.

Hammer sounds incredible! Reminds me a bit of Charli XCX, but with an ethereal, dreamy vibe. The electronic production is simply amazing.

king can you please hype us up for the album or tell your thoughts about it without too much spoilers @Mr.S :jonny5:

I believe Melodrama remains her magnum opus, but Virgin sounds absolutely incredible. It's the Lorde we know, yet it also feels incredibly refreshing. In Hammer, she mentioned, "I might be born again," which I believe is the inspiration behind the album's title. She still maintains minimal production, but her unique soundscapes are hauntingly beautiful.

My current favorite songs are Hammer, Shapeshifter, Current Affairs, Broken Glass, and David.

Is it true that this leaked and that some people have CDs already ?
