ijbol remember when Solar Power had no CD bc of her climate activism - she said F the planet for this album, we cheered!

  • new track in 3 days.

  • I believe Melodrama remains her magnum opus, but Virgin sounds absolutely incredible. It's the Lorde we know, yet it also feels incredibly refreshing. In Hammer, she mentioned, "I might be born again,

I'll grow my virginity back so fast if it means i can get front row tickets

I'd like a tour next year tho, I'm so broke rn

My left-field prediction given the cover having 90's Radiohead ok computer vibes and the fact that WWT was the "gentlest" song is that the album is gonna be a Nine Inch Nails kind of soundscape

LOVE the cover and title, but I must say it gives off a very artsy vibe meanwhile the single is probably her safest lead ever — which is not a criticism of the song, only to say that the album aesthetic suggests something wildly experimental. I wonder if the album will be weirder. I hope so!

She said "What Was That" was released as a single because it's the "gentlest" song off the album and "the most reminiscent of her overall sound", so I think we should get more experimentation from now on

This coming from a Lana fan is so ******* funny

They're a Lorde obsessed hater. Always camping under Lorde threads like a fan, lol. Embarrassing.

Proud that I immediately clocked that What Was That was not representative of the album and just something to reel the fans of her first two albums back after Solar Power. Looking forward to hearing something fresher from her.

The gentlest song?!?!?! We ain't ready :jonny:

I was just listening to HF/L and thank god I'm not trapped in the lyrics anymore, now I just vibe with the production :alexz3:

Making the most "gentlest" song on the album the lead single is.........a weird choice :skull:

I'd rather Lorde make the first single, the one that is most representative of this new sound. Maybe the first single is the end of one era and the beginning of another.

When she drops VIRGIN (not by choice deluxe) it's over for the members on ATRL:WAP:

What Was That still not clicking for me I fear :katie: I am still hopeful!
