If it's Wildest Dream/Style/Dancing With Our Hands Tied/Cruel Summer level, then ok. Otherwise I pray she never goes back to pop albums. Not after showing how amazing her songwriting could get.

 

But tbh I don't understand people asking Taylor to release bangers and bops, she's done fine, but that's clearly not her strong suit. I can't believe that Swifties want an album sounding like 22, MIAB, AYHTDWS, IKYWT and the likes from her, when her ballads is where she's always delivered. See Enchanted, All Too Well, tolerate it, exile, Ours, Treacherous, Renegade, Safe & Sound, august, champagne problems and I could go on forever...

folkmore was never truly hated and it never will be hated.

...no s**t, in what world would an alternative rock/indie album outstream mainstream pop? She's had a decade plus of being on top, who cares about her being #1 every single time?

 

Honestly I wish she would truly flop just once so the people who tie up so much of their enjoyment of her music in the success can just screw off.

The acting like these are all on the same level when it’s two masterpieces and then… those other two good but midtier songs. Truly emblematic of the diminishing returns of her pop phase.
