What an absolute garbage song. And this song now. Just absolutely awful. Is she making music for 5year olds? Because do they even care about a Ciara ??? I don't think so.

the very few fans she has are in her 30's. It's shocking how out of touch she is.

Exactly. All of her peers moved on from that teenager bopper stuff as they entered into their 30's and she's somehow still stuck with beats and lyrics taken from a kids bop album; hip hop edition. It's different to once in a while create something silly and just for fun but to put out a body of work like this. SMH

Now I wouldn't necessarily just want a full album of just mature R&B ballads, but you can create a good balance between that and some dance records. You can also create a dance record that has more depth and a less cliche soundscape (throwback 80s hip hop beats).   She's literally microwaving her old microwaved nachos because not only has she used this beat so many times, it's not even trendy at the moment.  This is why I want her to work with fresh producers. Producers that are a bit more experimental with sounds. I want her to mix other genres but keep it R&B.

That's why I had also been pitching for more of a concept album because it's easier to keep things cohesive when you do and you can focus on deeper topics that tie the whole project together. Titling your album "Cici" is just so corny and juvenile. No one even truly calls her that anymore. Fans would chant that in the old days to hype her on stage but that's it. It's not this deep connotation that she's making it out to be.  Also reminds me when she named her album "Jackie"; and yet the album had almost nothing to do with her mother or even her being a mother.

IDK if you noticed but I was dragging this woman left and right until she released Ecstasy. Why? because in my head it felt like a proper lead single and it seemed like a palette cleanse. The song is her owning her womanhood unapologetically and it truly sounded like a grown woman record (for the most part; there are some cringey lyrical moments).

To be fair, Ciara's messy and not so organized rollouts brought a lot of confusion. I'm not surprised that people are confused about the tracklist because she herself made it confusing. This is why I also keep bringing up that anything she does feels thrown in last minute and I think the reason many people are successful is because they have the discipline to be organized and to do proper roll outs. People at the very least take you more seriously but out of the 8 albums The Goodies, The Evolution and somewhat self titled were the only ones with proper roll outs. Jackie was close to being one until she went left field with her sound misleading her audience and with a confusing album title.

Both of yall are soo on point.

ive been waiting on her to do something different for soo long and she keeps reverting back to the same basic unorganized bs. I swear Ciara, Jackie, Beauty Marks, &CiCi sound like they're all from the same session.

and to think ppl have been begging for her and jazze to collab for years and they finally do it and its a song everybody will forget after one listen because it sounds just like all the other heap of mess Ciara throws out. A reunion after damn near 20 years and all they got is 170 comments on TikTok. 😐

Stop the lying :heart2:

The rest yess.

Idk this is kinda giving something fun for the summertime im really enjoying it tbh.

It's a bit mid, but it's certainly no Da Gurls.

Damn, her show at Hoopla was immaculate, she gave it all, but maybe let's go the Janet route and just tour for 10 years with no materials cause there's seriously no need for such fodder

I'm just gonna accept that she makes music for teenagers and children...…..because who over the age of 21 is bumping this? Mind you, majority of the fan base is around 30 or older......

I doubt there is a tour, I think she is just yapping.

After this era is done I think I may finally take that bow once and for all. I think it's time to move on. My childhood icon is no longer that. I'm sure the 12 Ciara stans that hate me will be happy.

Please do it. Bye.

Listened to the song and thought it was a her best song in years only to come in here and see these reactions

What's crazy is in the beginning of her career they hyped her up as some sort of "songwriter" when she was carried by producers (Jazze Pha, Polow Da Down and Tricky Stewart.) cuz evidently she don't know how to make a song!!

She's always been visually appealing and a great dancer but she doesn't have IT as an artist.

I remember she did an interview during the Jackie era and she said she'll work with anyone who has a "hit" like girl you can't craft your OWN hits????

Ecstasy had the formula but wasn't a catchy ear warm like Promise and Body Party and that's why it fell flat… She got lucky with Level Up and she should've pushed it for all it's worth cause lil did she know that would be her last hooray.. :toofunny3:

How We Roll was beautifully written and the production was A1 but a have strong belief that it was mixed and mastered by Chris Brown's team cause the solo version in that bmw commercial sounded a mess…

Her fans (the yes fans) are also to blame, they accept anything she gives and this is why she wont make adjustments because her 12 yes fans are the only ones she interacts with and they make it seem like most people like this shitty music she's been putting out.

I like How We Roll; they could of def come out with something better though but I took for what it was because of the moment. Her dumb ass decided to shoot a music video and make a song with him while pregnant of all times she could of done it. Her choreo in the video look tired and limited but i did like the semi truck conjoining and all that.

officially my last post on Ciara. Bye ✌🏾

I think there is an art in making music personal to that artist, but also relatable to several audiences.

Damn what is going on in Ciara world?!? I'm a HUGE Ciara fan and always look forward to her albums and releases but yes - the recent music for years now have been extremely mediocre.

I checked Apple Music for the new album mid-July and then saw the date was changed but that the track list looked the same…. Blah. Loved her new interviews though, especially the Last Meal one. But she barely speaks about new music and when she does it seems more business than creativity or passion.

I think Level Up owes its success to that branding of the marriage with Russell, and it literally looked like "Level Up" cause the future era was obviously embarrassing. i still have flashbacks how she goes nonchalant in interview "hes so wonderful he made me meet his other 12 baby mothers ahh"

because i do agree musically level up is nothing interesting (yummy in tummy was cringe and giving little baby bum)

i also calculated how much years it was since her last decent project and its gonna be 6 years now.

i also think its obvious shes not into music and she should just retire or be like rihanna "wont tell u guys hehe" and wrap it up. id take hiatus rather than this right here
