  1. This. Rebel Heart actually has some really great songs structurally and melodically but the sound quality makes every song sound like a demo.
  2. So a 6 part documentary and then the full concert show as well? Oh wow!
  3. Oh thank God! So is this replacing Play This Song then?
  4. Thank you! That helped put into perspective the magnitude of her numbers! this album will have legs - there's at least 3 huge smashes waiting on this album.
  5. I know Ophelia is streaming absolutely massive numbers but can someone give me a comparison of how many streams a normal song gets like maybe last week's big hits so I can see the impact? I'm not knowledgeable on what big stream numbers are generally or maybe what a big album last week like cardi's got streaming wise?
  6. I think it samples Jackson 5 "I Want You Back"
  7. So glad you have Father Figure stuck in your head too!!! I feel like no one is talking about how catchy that one is OMG. It's been ALL day for me
  8. The album just keeps growing on me omg. opalite, father figure, and wish list are my current never ending loop of repeating songs. Opalite definitely needs to be the next single BTW! Or at least the third single
  9. I'm surprised she said she would be open to it! I feel like she's been asked this before and she definitely didn't give that type of response, it was more along the lines of NO.
  10. Opalite and Wood on repeat for me! also, Father Figure suddenly joined those two and is on repeat? I'm confused because it gives the facade of boring midtempo but it's one of the catchiest songs on the album, is it just me?
  11. I LOVE Janet - she is solidified in my Top 3 favorites for life. But I'm soooo sick of the residencies and tours for the past 8 years. Same songs, same shows… PLEASE give us a new album. It's imperative at this point. Her brand needs to be fresh again.
  12. The post was edited 2 hours ago to include that information. It originally showed 5 million streams for the album. No need to be rude.
  13. Ever since streaming took over I have no idea what's good numbers or not…. what's the translation? Smash hit?

Right, the album being named the same thing as an EP that came out 2 years ago now? It's just so confusing, and the title CiCi was never a good one to begin with. for me personally I am not trying to chase nostalgia, I genuinely love all of her albums up until and including Beauty Marks. Something shifted around 2020 in her music, I think the first time I was disappointed was with Rooted and then it kind of went downhill from there with a few cute songs here and there

Damn what is going on in Ciara world?!? I'm a HUGE Ciara fan and always look forward to her albums and releases but yes - the recent music for years now have been extremely mediocre. I checked Apple Music for the new album mid-July and then saw the date was changed but that the track list looked the same…. Blah. Loved her new interviews though, especially the Last Meal one. But she barely speaks about new music and when she does it seems more business than creativity or passion.
  16. Does she have a show tonight?
  17. The glossy material of the booklet is so sickening!
  18. Just watched a clip of her interview saying how she sang differently on this new album and I can kind of already hear it on this track. It's definitely more powerful and passionate than I've heard her in a while and I feel like the album is just going to go even deeper!

It's a RETURN TO FORM for me! Huge smash. I've been missing loud, aggressive sounds in pop music. TY GAGA! Super excited for the album - I think if this type of sound is how she's coming with the first single then we will be in for a unique treat on the actual album.
  20. Why, what's the GP saying?!
  21. Yeah I LOVE Janet but people acting like that was a curveball question is a little silly. The question was just how do you feel we may have the first black woman as president? I just don't think the journalist thought she was about to give a Trump line of response… really there was no bating with that question at all. How would they have thought that Janet thinks she's not black? LOL
  22. Honestly, MJ never really had a flop album. His massive albums were such a phenomenon that his "underperforming" albums look like a flop when that's just not true. Britney, at her peak in 2001, sold 7 million copies of her self titled album (huge smash!) and Invincible, released at the same time, with only one single and horrible press at the time and almost no promotion, sold 8 million worldwide but was titled a flop…Just to show a comparison. even his HIStory album sold 25 million copies worldwide in 1995 and that was a double CD! People like to compare those albums to Thriller but selling 25 million copies literally still puts his 1995 album in the best selling albums of all time list…. If that's my flop era, I'd take it.
  23. I would argue that In the Zone and Blackout were extremely passionate projects on her end- actually her most involved and passionate albums in her career. You could really tell she loved making them and performing the songs from them. I think if she wasn't forced into doing the OHT for ITZ, she would have been on a totally different path than what happened. That tour was like the nail in the coffin for her and I think it's because she really just needed a break and didn't want to be told what to do. She definitely enjoyed releasing ITZ but if they just let her promote it, do the music videos and singles, perform on award shows but NOT tour or do those personal interviews- she would not have became so frustrated and rebellious.
  24. ABSOLUTELY. The timeless social messages (truly you can listen to Rhythm Nation or State of the World today and they completely fit in these times) ALSO The Knowledge which is so underrated and I love the message of that one as well. The album is hard-hitting, the bass and sounds are so explosive even on the ballads. WHICH are also just as stunning. Lonely and Come back to Me... those melodies are stunning. We STAN this album
  25. It’s a reference to him starting his career in ATL. Him and his family moved there when he was like 13 to jumpstart his musical career. im sure he looks at Atlanta as his home since that’s where his life and career truly began, so the peach would be referencing that… also the title is called COMING HOME… this is not hard to piece together lol
