Throwback: Gaga & Kanye - Joint Tour

Featured Replies

100%, but I still love the promoshoot by David LaChapelle so much :jonnycat:

Is this the tour that changed into Kid Cudi being the opener?

Cause I saw that one :dies:

They were both at their prime at the time, so I think it could've been massive

forever mourning this tour's existence and the collab album that could've happend :'(

Thank God this tour never happened. She dodged (another) bullet here. What a random pairing though :toofunny3:

He wasn't problematic at that time, I don't see how that could backfire, people don't bat a eye for all his collabs in the past, hell not even now cause he is producing Playboi Carti's upcoming album.

Gaga has been working with Kanye's creative direction people since the start up through The Chromatica Ball.

Yeah but it would just add another "gotcha" moment for OGH (like working with R. Kelly, T.I., Thierry Richardson, and almost working with Robin Thicke, which all of these individuals have been associated with the topic of sexual assault. With Kanye, we would have to add anti-Semite to the mix).

Also, Gaga and Kanye themselves mentioned how the tour was bringing very polar opposite groups of fans together, which was part of their purpose in collaborating, to bridge that gap. So both of my points actually made perfect sense, but continue to act dense and like you did something with your responses I guess :michael:

I literally just thought the timing of the posts was funny it's really not that deep. :gayhemcat:

I always felt like Gaga secretly pulled out bc of the Taylor VMA's fiasco and thank god she did.

The last thing she needs is to have more ties with people like Kanye, Terry Richardson, R.Kelly etc.

The tour was to commence right after the Taylor VMA's drama

I remember all the rumors about the stage, with two B-stages, and a huge volcano at the end end of the runway :chick3:

I'm so sad it got cancelled and we didn't even get to witness one night of it. But at least it gave us the legendary Monster Ball!

It would have been interesting if it happened. But I wonder if it would have changed the trajectory or artistic direction at that point of her career had it happened.

The Monster Ball followed by the BTW era and it's tour felt logical and organic, this tour being cancelled doesn't feel like there has ever been a chapter missing

Can we please include in the OP some more imagery from the tour?

it truly would have been amazing. But glad it didn't happen.

I'm glad it was cancelled because we got the legendary Monster Ball instead, which went on to become the highest grossing debut tour of all time. A record it still holds.
