  • I been here since the old days so I always wonder if people even truly know Ciara's story around the time of that album cover and the Fantasy Ride era all together.    So this goes to say, t

  • Video shot and directed by Diane Martell who did Ride, Promise, love sex magic and like a boy! And she said there's a lot of dancing and it's the big sister to ride and promise.

  • I never understood why they went with this cover and never added Go Girl on the album... Because the single artwork was pretty similar, and the song and the video were fire !

Well as I previously asked, aside from performing, what do you think she should be doing? I would agree if this was like other eras where she dropped music and went on vacation but she's literally everywhere.

Ecstasy just ain't it… like it's a cute song but it doesn't have momentum. The remix was ok but next…

Time for a new single

I was hoping for a little more from Ci but this was hot, Normani and Teyana did that.

Im just curious what would u like to see more of? The song is slowly picking up on radio. Remix is coming today. She's more than likely performing on the bet awards Monday. She's been on NUMEROUS Podcast talking about MUSIC not just her relationship & family like she usually does. She was in the uk and did like 10 interviews/podcast about her music.

I think you mainly just want more performances when I honestly don't think it's time for that. She can push when it gets top 10 on urban radio.

I have a detailed post I'm on this just don't feel like retyping it up.

The remix is perfect but it won't do anything without a visual. She might as well have kept it in the drafts.

Ciara is PRESENTING at the BET awards 🙄

Yet Teyana Taylor is performing. Make it make sense.

I'd love to see more professionally curated content focused on the music, album, and performances, along with higher-quality, creatively produced promo videos rather than casual DIY-style clips.

It would also be helpful to scale back the family/personal content on social media, particularly posts centered on her kids or Russell (at least during this promotional period)

Although she's doing podcast appearances mentioning music, the only clips gaining traction are those about her relationship. If I were on her team, I'd advise interviewers to steer away from those topics entirely or keep them to a bare minimum, so the spotlight stays on the music.

I really hope pushing the album back gives her time to re think the EP songs idea & push new songs.

New single should be ready to go by the last week of June or first of July

She's definitely doing more than just performing. Stay tuned

There's literally no reason why a veteran like Ciara, 20+ years in the game should struggle to book the sorry ass BET Awards. TBH I'm not even that big of a fan of the awards but in this time Ciara needs them. Any televised performance that can get her name out there is desperately needed for this roll out.

I have a feeling that there may be an Ecstasy performance with Normani and Teyana Taylor. However, I just don't like that Teyana Taylor can easily book a performance slot and Ciara has to be the "added" guest. Ciara should be able to do things on her own, it's so frustrating.

I disagree with you sorry. Ecstasy is probably the best single she's dropped in her "independent" era from an overall standpoint. How We Roll and Better Thangs are up to par as well but this is the first song that feels like a real single that could potentially dominate urban/R&B radio.

While I loved the video, I think there should of been more color and it should of been more of a cinematic piece. These back drop photoshoot session music videos are so tired and I said this from the beginning. Ciara has to evolve both visually and sonically. This visual is everything we have seen from her. It's her own reheated nachos. It's tired and it gets boring. I did appreciate that we got SEXara though, that was a shocker to me.

However, maybe the setting of the video could of been a little more interesting. It could taken place in a dungeon and she could of been like catwoman or something performing for a mysterious man. Maybe have the man tied down while she performed all her sexy moves. She could insinuate it to be Russell with little clues like the number 3. IDK like make it interesting. She's stuck in a box.

This remix is such a GREAT idea, but she should of had a music video lined up with the release. Ciara is not a word of mouth power artist like Drake, Beyonce ect. Ciara needs visuals and a well put together product for real impact. So while I think this remix is great and these beautiful ladies ate and left no crumbs with their verses, it's all going to waste unless there's a visual to really capture an audience and not just the casual fans that are supporting.

Been here 15+ years and will continues to be here &nbsp:cool:

There aint a music video coming. Did yall see the cover art? It was very "send me a selfie on your iPhone and I'll photoshop us together on quickpic"

I would of preferred digital artwork instead, but yes it pretty much was that sadly.

The lyric video already got 100K views, imagine if she would of dropped a music video.

The rollout has been messy enough. How do you announce an album with 90% of it being music we already heard? And then turn around and scramble for a few new songs WEEKS before the album comes out? :toofunny3:

The lady is out of touch! Any momentum she built from How We Roll she killed it releasing Run It Up with no music video… then she thru Wassup out there and did the same. And I'm just trying to understand what the end goal is?????

She clearly thought Ecstasy was going to be enough to get this album rolling and now that it stalled she's trying to save face…. And it just looks like self sabotage. It's like she intentionally doesn't want to be taken seriously.

Watch out you'll have Mrs. Pork Belly over here with her 4 posts in 13 years come at you and say you are complaining too much

By going independent and not having the skills/knowledge/experience to manage one's self.

Being independent means she gets complete control and freedom, but unfortunately it also means there's no large team there giving her advice or expertise on how to properly rollout a record.

I love her, but she excels as an artist, not business and she doesn't seem to have the business acumen to make the right decisions when it comes to the commercial side of her work.
