  • I been here since the old days so I always wonder if people even truly know Ciara's story around the time of that album cover and the Fantasy Ride era all together.    So this goes to say, t

  • Video shot and directed by Diane Martell who did Ride, Promise, love sex magic and like a boy! And she said there's a lot of dancing and it's the big sister to ride and promise.

  • I never understood why they went with this cover and never added Go Girl on the album... Because the single artwork was pretty similar, and the song and the video were fire !

Is she dropping a MV for ecstasy remix?  or is it just silly tiktoks?

Hopefully the tik toks are there to keep ANY type of momentum before they drop a video? :noparty:

These tiktoks will not do **** for the song. Yall never learn. To even have hope at this point is just silly.

Also radio update:

The song dropped a spot on Urban radio. It's struggling to enter the Top 20.

To the fans that keep making excuses for her ect. She herself has stated in numerous interviews that it's taken 5 YEARS  and "labor of love"  to make this album. However, she has nothing to show for that (As of yet). She dropped Ecstasy in April 4, 2025 (After teasing it for like 2 months) with a music video that was filmed with a paper backdrop.  it's been nearly 3 months since release and in that time she hasn't performed the song outside a quick little remix at a non factor show she booked and some tiktoks.

She then hops on a live stream with Tyga and literally makes the most mid song (with that tired beat we've been begging for her to let go) and now everyones heard it so there really wont be much excitement when it does come out.

She then pushes back the album (thank goodness because imagine if she had released it 1 week from now). This goes to show nothing was truly planned.

If she had 5 years to make an album you would think she would have the era all done and ready to go so it doesn't feel choppy and all over the place. I'm not buying it. It's very clear that she's just making it up as she goes. It made no sense to drop this remix with Teyana Taylor and Normani and not have a REAL visual to coincide with the release. Arguably two of the best dancers in the R&B space and she's doing silly little tik toks when she could of made it a true moment.

Was it ever confirmed that this was for an actual video, or was she just at a shoot or something?

I think she did what she did with the Self titled era, she shot a bunch of random scenes lipping to songs on the album. There wasn't any true execution other than getting a "visual" for each song. I actually really loved "Winning", I would change some lyrical content to make it a little less cringey but that song was such a bop. Sadly no music video was filmed. She got pregnant and I think that stopped the potential for one to be filmed.

Do NOT remind me- Her filming a snippet for every song, instead of full videos, wasn't as bad back in 2013. Now, looking back, some of those trailers were trailing along the lines of real videos, especially "Sophomore", "Read My Lips" and "Loving It Up". Had she and Epic came together, properly, she honestly could've make a mega long form video, incorporating each song. What should've been an iconic moment in her first successful comeback, months before Beyoncé's visual album, stalled at video snippets at 360p.

She had me on the edge of my seat then, now? Girl, if you got time & money to film snippets, you've got time & money to film videos.

She has a performance coming up in July and I'm not even excited about it that's how bad it is. This era had so much potential with Ecstasy

She barely promotes/promoted it....

Her marketing execution is so horrible and lazy, my God

So the remix didn't do that much after all? :noparty:

The song was promising. With a hot video it would have made some sort of impact on streaming at least.

If there was a video, it would have came at the same time as the remix audio. Or she would have been told us a video is coming.

So all were gonna get are IG & tik tok videos.....

Is she going to release , dance with me feat. Tyga as second single ?

Love that song❤️

All we have gotten is dumb TikToks sadly

This is hands down the worst era from her EVER. Like it's so poorly done…. It's extremely dry as well for a Ciara era.

The album still has the EP songs! She should remove them leaving blank spots for new songs to build hype!

I mean the way she's going about this era is wild.

As I've stated before, these daytime OUTDOOR performances always look so awkward and just don't work for her performance style

I prefer the nighttime indoor set up. Down from the lighting to the absence of a live band. It just feels so empty.  It's also clear they outsourced most of this audience as well which just comes off inauthentic.

I don't understand what happened to her vocals but they sound as limited as ever and you'd think she would focus more on the dancing because of that but all we get is these half assed moves. Girl you have an ear piece and you'd think she'd be serving….

I did like the arrangement and the transitions, it just felt so empty and lifeless without a live band. She needs back up singers as well to help mask her limited vocals.

I really tried to like it.

So much televised airtime wasted. This whole thing just felt so chopped and screwed. She performed "Drop Your Love" so I'm sensing that all of these old ass 2+ year old songs are gonna be on the album.

I was only looking forward to Ecstasy and that felt so dry. Man we are in trenches.

I thought the reason she push the album back was because she was replacing old songs with new wtf :rip:

I had hopes of that too 🥲 I just wanted a brand new album. This doesn't feel like it.

I just realized she's wearing fur thigh length boots in the middle of SUMMER :rip:

I wish she would show off her toned legs more! Girl turn on that sex appeal! What's the point of having this sexy body and you not showing it off

This needs to be her last album and era.

She's lasted 21 years, that's longer than most can say. There's been some innovative highs, but the constant lows have tarnished her brand beyond repair. There are artists, new & old, that would love to have the opportunities she's gotten, while she's been half assing for the last decade.

Bow out with a bad axx House of Blues tour & put that time and effort to other projects. It's the most sensible thing to do at this stage, because she's not going to get any better!

My expectations for her musically are six feet under at this point. I'm not excited about the new project—most of it has already been released or teased, and the rollout has been a mess. The marketing and promotion feel either completely disorganized or just plain lazy.

In the rare interviews that actually focus on the music, she talks about the album in such a dry, detached way—saying things like "this is a thank you to my fans"—but honestly, it comes across more like an F U.

It's obvious she doesn't have a solid team behind her, or at least not one with any real vision. From working with the same overused producers to sticking with the same tired sound, there's been zero growth. At this point, I don't even know what to think anymore.

NOT trying to impose retirement on her :deadbanana4: Y'all are so ******* weird

First of all, the constant lows have not tarnished her brand because no one knows they exist outside of her tiny fanbase and some sections of Twitter. They do not matter.

Secondly, Ciara is not taking away any new artist's opportunities. She is independent, so she isn't wasting any label's budget and resources that could have gone to someone else. She's also not shopping for tracks that other people are also bidding on, since she's making her own songs from scratch or buying beats that no one else wants. It's not like she's out here Rihanna-ing other people's potential smashes and and lets them rot. And most of the promotional slots she gets are due to her status and legacy and would not be given to a new artist anyway. She's not occupying anyone's spot. She's standing on her own spot.

And the craziest thing about this excessive negativity towards Ciara is that y'all keep blaming her for doing too little, while y'all ain't doing **** either :deadbanana2: Didn't that last album sell 9 copies first week? I am absolutely shocked that she even bothered to scramble together the resources to make 15 more videos, constantly release singles and is even gearing up to release another album after that disaster.

The album including the EP songs is the only sensible gripe to have towards this rollout but like... she paid for those songs (plus more that were left on the cutting room floor) out of her own pocket and got no return. I am not sure she can fund the necessary fees, compensations and studio time to record an entirely new set of songs. I get that it's a bummer but that's the way it is. I'm not saying you owe her support, money and dedication over subpar music and uneventful releases but the vitriol is so unnecessary. Just accept her new reality and demote to a more casual fan or check out.
