I know this was probably a joke, but the lack of sex drive (that fin gives) and depression go hand in hand. It's scientifically proven and it has nothing to do with your physical aspect. OP is experiencing what most people dealing with side effects to fin are.

you'd probably need to take finasteride lifelong after a hair transplant. Otherwise you'll have a patch of hair at the transplant site and continued shedding around it.

I've been on it in 2019. Stopped it after few months (around 8-9) cause I believe I had side effects and didn't it want it to stop reaching my potential with work and relationships.

Sis, change finasteride for DUTASTERIDE. even if u have hair transplant, you need to keep using them... dutas girl is more effective and the side effects are not as bad as finasteflop.

 

dutas is the new MPG, if u wanna more info, i will gladly help u just dm me , been tghough alll that before, BUT remember this is a LIFE treatment if u wanna keep ur hair

this probably isn't the way to go, but in my case I hadn't actually experienced any loss when I first started  it was entirely preventative 

 

my hairline is the same as it was when I was 19, whether that's because of the fin or because I wouldn't have even started losing hair by now anyway, I can't say.

Well, stop using it and see what happens in the next 6 months.

I've been on it for years, no side effects. 

I have been on it for like 9 months of consistent use.

It did not seem to really stop the hair loss. I still shed quite a bit.

But I prior to these 9 months of consistent use, I was taking it for 3 and stopped suddenly.

When I did stop, I noticed dramatically more shedding. So I have been on it since.

At the very least, it restrains my hair loss from being as serious.

I started Dutasteride because my crown hair was thinning. It's not terrible, but obviously, you can see some of the scalp when there's direct light, again, it's not awful, but I've been on Dutasteride for about six months and it's ok if you want your hair to grow back, perhaps use some minoxidil as well?

I am extremely sensitive to drugs, like even Coffee. Finasteride would be hell for me.

I've been on it for about 2 years. No sexual side effects to speak of and if I feel more depressed it's probably just due to life/getting older 

 

Although for some reason the last few months it seems to have suddenly stopped working and I'm shedding a lot of hair again. I've read periodic shedding every 1-2 years can be normal even while taking it, even long sheds that last 3-6 months so I'm holding on for dear life chile 

I've been on it since 2019.

Did anyone here find themselves losing hair on fin? Been on it 2.5+ years and I believe I did regain some growth around my crown, but I feel like my hair has been miniaturizing the past months. I might go on oral min next (I actually have the prescription already, but highkey scared/apprehensive to get on it) lol

According to my current doctor yes, but some of past one didnt pay much attention to it. Im actually in dutasteride right now to optimize ressults.

Did your doctor ever say which brand is best? I mentioned dut to my doctor but he said he was looking into it himself but was apprehensive on it

Yeah, it stopped falling out for like 1.5 years then randomly started again. I'll give it until the middle of the year then look into Dutasteride if the shedding doesn't stop. Also thinking about just quitting and shaving it  I've heard oral min gives you a lot of body hair so I don't want to go on it

I meant to say I did regain some growth, but yes I feel like Ive been losing hair in a specifc spot of my head that always seems to be the worse for some reason. If I do go on oral min, I just want to make sure my heart is okay lol. I lowkey would like more body hair, if it helps me grow my mustache and facial hair I think that might be cool lol
