I give my Shoujo Jidai playlist a whirl every couple of days to this day. Truly the most legendary run of 3 albums in Kpop and its not talked about enough. The recognisable slick electropop sound they delivered has aged really well too unlike of the a lot of the music from the early 2010s

Like, You-Aholic, Bad Girl, The Great Escape, Beautiful Stranger, Flower Power, Animal, Reflection, Paparazzi, Galaxy Supernova, Karma Butterfly, Lips... all legendary 10/10 bops in my eyes. And there are more great songs outside of this genre on the albums too. Whew

There was a recent performance where GISELLE mic was literally switching OFF in the middle of the performance and also there were faults occurring when they performed at a festival in Thailand and the girls were frustrated.

 

Obviously it's complicated to get all the sound right every time, but I wouldn't be surprised if SM is being a cheap ass again. This is their biggest active GG. They should be getting the best team to manage this.

Yes, but companies can help. For example, RBW sent people to support with the festivals, which helped MAMAMOO become more popular (which is how they got the records of the group being most invited) and had fewer technical problems.

sure but like, most of the time the staff are simply made up of 20 something students with equipments given by the school which don't even allocate that much money to festivals. some schools student boards don't even receive enough money to organize a festival

 

also worth noting that there was a huge thunderstorm in seoul yesterday so i'm not surprised there were technical difficulties. i'm actually surprised they performed outside in that awful weather

 

i saw aespa at a school festival last year and it was amazing, crystal clear live vocals with zero problems. i'm the first to drag SM incompetency when it comes to shows but there's so much a company can do when you're dealing with students in their early 20s being staff
