I remember years ago the girls said a similar thing, that Lisa used to be the only member that did really well during the weekly evaluations. She probably stopped taking vocal lessons at some point, especially if she cared for that skill less than dancing and rapping.

idk how much of that is true. If she had potential to be a good vocalist I doubt the company would have not taken advantage of that. 

There are examples of main dancers being part of the vocal line of their groups when they are good enough.

 

Minzy was the main dancer of 2NE1 and that didn't stop her to become their strongest vocalist later on because she actually had potential and cared to improve.

In all YG history only 3 trainees got Staright A's to debut immediately in all their evaluations:

- Kwon Ji Young (G-Dragon) 

- Wang Yi Bo (UNIQ, yeah UNIQ was in partnership with YueHua in training their were Team C, while Winner was Team A and ikon Team B) 

- Lisa (Blackpink)

For YG's standards, Lisa was probably decent at the time  but if she didn't take the time out to hone and improve on those singing skills, then it's no wonder she ranks last now.

Another thing about YG, Dara wasn't considered for 2NE1 despite already being in the line up of the previous group Ku Hye Sun and Park Bom. That was scrapped for some reason (yeah a Ballad group), Dara wasn't on the 2NE1 project up until they recorded the song Pretty Boy (which was the first song ever recorded by 2NE1), Teddy actually brought up Dara who replaced another one member. 

 I need them to release it NOW 

TS Entertainment's new company already losing artists love to see it. Hope more follow suit.
