we all can hate BTS deranged fandom but they were responsible for NJ's 80% streams and they were doing that bc they all collectively hates the only group who can rivals their oppas. To pretend that it's solely NJ music and MHJ creative vision what made them successful is delusional   :coffee2:

NJZ derangement syndrome

some of their stans mentality unfortunately :clack:

Like this is the entire issue with kpop fans. A precedent is being upheld that the artists we all love can be cut off by their company at any minute with zero recourse and y'all are celebrating because you're all blinks or mys and this improves your favs' standing in an imaginary rat race. This was a chance to take the rats off the racetrack and see how far they can actually go.

In reality, if bang sihYUCK wasn't left unchecked, none of our favs would be subject to this kind of abuse and the cream would actually be allowed to float to the top in this industry unobstructed. The NJZ/ILLIT situation is literally exactly what happened to Girls' Generation, bar for bar. The ceo was scared at how much power these girls had and wanted to handicap them to transfer some of their popularity onto other groups. This was a chance to forge a better path. You all literally have worms for brains. :rip:

weird how some of the people advocates human rights for idols but are dead silence for LSF and Illit. I don't even like any of this groups :deadbanana:

or the constant bullying they do on these groups for no reason other than they share the same company with their faves :rip:

As if this thread wasn't calling me derranged for calling for an SM boycott all last year. Y'all are just making stuff up at this point to find anything that sticks.

 :clack:

didnt mean to subpost you, i was talking about the type that selectively boycotts when their faves arent in the mix and acts righteous about it

:clack:

It's extremely predatory that these contracts are being enforced in scenarios where companies are either actively damaging the group/idol 's brand or stalling them out. This has happened to so many girl groups from every big 3 company and hybe(wg, miss a, fx, SNSD, 2ne1, soon to be red velvet). Why anybody would be anything less than outraged is totally beyond me. The fact that I have literally never heard of men being treated like this too despite it being standard practice with girl groups too. :deadbanana2:

I mean I'm not innocent either I do shade them too at times but it's just baffling we have double standards for moral compass here like yall truly cares for this idols wellbeing.

You need to fight for them they are involved in this mess for absolutely no reason like NJ it's also their own careers on the line   :coffee2:

Both groups you mentioned were never mentioned by NJZ nor MHJ (the latter specifically called out their labels) it was actually HYBE who threw them under the bus. And also, those two were ~mildly criticized for their bad performance skills, how does that relate to NJZ's situation???

Actually this isnt capitalism. In most industries an exclusivity/non-compete contract can't be upheld for years at a time with no regard to the career prospects of the worker...

It's realistically unviable for these girls to go get normal jobs now because they can't work in entertainment and are too famous to do normal work. Without work from HYBE their lives are ruined until the contract expires.

That part maybe not but in a capitalistic world the system will always favore the employer and not the employee

Its the same with western artists but they are held over a number of albums instead of years which is worse

How many years are left for their co tract? HYBE usually do 7/8 year ones right

7 years is the maximum length allowed by Korean law. They'll be free in 2029 :emofish:

On the bright side the 2NE1 comeback has shown that despite the industry's best attempts, quality girl groups are timeless and never fully forgotten. They can rebuild when that day comes, they're young enough to. Fans will remember who originated the concept and wait for them.

I don't think it's fair to compare stan wars on tiktok to your own company diminishing your success, leaking your personal data out of spite and actively trying to jeopardize ur career.
