I think we are really reaching the point of K-Pop saturation, and this is just another sign of that. Have you guys noticed how so many new groups can get a hit and then not chart at all? It happened to so many, like Kiss Of Life, KiiiKiii, Babymonster, Meovv... not to mention TWS and ILLIT which had juggernaut debuts and now only chart moderately. Public interest is shrinking.

Whenever I listen to the Chase, I kind of can't believe H2H debuted with that and people said their vocals were weak. How can you listen to some of those runs and harmonies and not hear good singers...

I mean, there are so many one-hit wonders in SK; it's wild . It's like Knetz have no problem looping a song for months but don't even bother checking their follow-up. 

But you're right about K-pop saturation. Companies aren't helping with putting in a new group every year without letting the other one grow and establish itself more! The worst part of this is that everyone seems to have the same tiring aesthetic and style on their teasers and mvs. 

I wonder if people are exhausted of kpop or if it's just because the music doesn't click. 

Hopefully next year is better.

That's definitely part of the problem. K-pop was in expansion, so we kept getting more and more groups until there was no more demand for all of them. Like, what was CUBE thinking when they debuted Lightsum while i-dle was still hot?

This 5th gen was a mistake because they debuted when 4th gen groups were still at the top of the game. They had no one to replace! Now the newer groups struggle to get enough attention because people are already invested in the older established groups. And I learned HYBE is gonna debut another gg? This bubble is gonna burst 

The way we probably won't see 2NE1 as 4 ever again after this

This Soundcloud is just for random covers so far, there is no original material yet.

 

She posted pictures from the studio last month and earlier this year she mentioned in an interview that she is listening to her "demo songs". She has talked about an "album" for many years...but in the past there was not much evidence she actually recorded anything.

 

But now there are songs recorded recently. When the album actually ever comes is a different story though
