The way this is basically a better version of that aespa GMA embarrassment. Same budget and lack of prep. Thank god some other sheep are on board with me. This company is over. Aespa mishandled, several mid title tracks in a row. Still lip syncing and giving boring performances left and right, way under their actual potential as a group. Riize and H2H lacking talent and having 0 vocalists. Barely 2-3 bops out of the company the whole year. Wendy exited, Taemin exited, and Taeyeon possibly hot on their heels with her recent solo material flopping and contract up soon. SNSD not making any noise until 2027.

 

I will always be greatful for the legacy of 10's SM and the continuation of that with early Aespa. But it is OVER. Without the past leadership structure and key people and idols - most important of all probably being YYJ - SM is just any old K-pop company now. Even Key's recent solo music is bad and he has historically had a great discog.

 

 

 

In a SNSD equivalent it's like Sunny solo was a sexy concept, it's literally the girl who was in charge of aegyo and was called Shin Dong Yup.

 

 

When the comparison started Starship changed her whole styling.

i do wonder what SM is thinking with lip syncing. the girls clearly can sing live, enjoy their performances a lot more when singing live, don't get dragged and get a lot of praise when they do sing live, but they still make them lip sync a lot of the time. i just don't really get the thought process there

The more acts do it, the more accepted it becomes. God knows their fans would never ask for more. One of many sad recent trends in k-pop.
