LA girlies, we are familiar with Erewhon. For those who are outside of LA, have you heard of the expensive grocery phenomenon that our faves attend?

 

 

 

I just heard about for the first time a week ago (I don't live in LA). Seems like a ripoff but when you're worth 9 figures or higher, the prices are basically meaningless. 

Well I hunt pigeons for food so I hope everyone who shops at Erewhon gets violent diarrhea

I just went to one earlier tonight. I would say that it is definitely not for the average consumer and I definitely will not do my average grocery shopping there. 

Pretentiously overpriced POS where fools go to part with their money 

You have to be a completely brainrot idiot to go and shop there

 

Even if you are rich

 

They just sell status to idiots on social media, there is no value in quality

They are basically just known for being overpriced grocery stores. I never see them sponsoring anything either, so they are greedy and dont support any cause.

The only people I know who go there are gays who are in their late 20s / early 30s, have wealthy parents, and are obsessed with celebrity culture.

I've heard of it, but only because a Youtuber I sometimes watch named Honeysuckle had a video about trying all the hot foods at the most expensive grocery store and what 100 gets you there.

I lived in LA and it still shocks me how it's basically become a meme now.

 

I don't normally shope there (nor do I recommend it) but I do have this protein shaker.

 

It's great for people who love to be pretentious and throw away money. Perfect for LA.

I don't live in LA but I ALWAYS have to stop by Erewhon when I'm there. I know most LuXuRy grocery stores are usually overhyped but Erewhon actually lives up to the hype, their smoothies are the best... but if you go just expect to spend $$$$. I had like 7 items and spent almost $100.

Definitely feels like somewhere you go to cosplay feeling like the rich and famous. 

i go to the one in studio city every now and again to treat myself to a smoothie/meal, but i recently bought the ingredients for the sabrina smoothie and just make them at home now 

I use to work at a high-end "upscale" overpriced grocery store here and was initially surprised that people would willingly spend three times as much on the same products they could get for much cheaper at a store up the road. The customer base was always rude, pushy and treated you like you were below them. I did like some of my co-workers though. 

It was promoted just so all the basic btches that go to Starbucks and chipotle to shop there pretty much. Celebrities like Kim K herself has specified she hasn't gone to a grocery store in years but all the basics will think "I'll look like a celebrity" if a go there… Yeah… An Addison Rae Z lister type of celebrity lol.
