She got dropped again?

EDIT: BMG is a good distributor at least

She left. Clover Music has been her imprint since the re-recordings of her first two albums in 2018, and she signed a joint deal with Warner (after Interscope) to release her other projects, following Aaron Bay-Schuck from Atlantic. At this point, I'm happy she's ditched the major label system, which has not done shït for her, even after all of the Blackground drama.

  • A 23 second intro is so useless…

  • I hate that on this site artists like JoJo get crickets when she's delivering the goods. Love Too Much To Say.

She has her own label, and she had a deal with Warner. They offered to back one last album for her (after Good to Know and Trying not to think about it) but she declined because she didn't want them interfering and forcing her to record and push material she doesn't want to (e.g. F Apologies, Creature of Habit, etc. she didn't want to release neither of those)

I like both of those songs...

But good for her!

I like them too... but especially Creature of Habit I don't think it was a wise single choice... and she thinks creature of habit is cringe... she thinks it's weird to be singing "i am a creature" lmao

Creature of habit sucked and I think he pushed her to do when love hurts which she hated. I think he was gone when f apologies was forced on her.

at this point I think she's happy where she's at in her career. She knows she likely won't get mainstream music success anymore and seems ok with it now based off her book. I think now she gets to release the music she wants, skip the label politics and do more moves in broadway which she seems to love. She seems happier now.

Im glad she is doing 8 tracks. Which one of them wasn't the ballad porcelain seems like a waste imo. Hope she didn't do any interludes. I want 7 full songs

Too Much To Say is growing on me after a few listens. :jonnycat:

She's been pouring herself into the writing and that's something that deserves to be acknowledged. Sonically is not really the vibe I expected when she said she was "flirting with Pop" because it's still pretty much on Trying Not To Think About It territory, idk? But I already know I'm going to love the project and I'm happy it's closer to 10 tracks than it is to 5. Hopefully all of them are full songs and not interludes.

The sound of Porcelain and Too Much To Say is nothing like TNTTAI to me.

I don't fully connect with Porcelain, but I really like the Reimagined version and Too Much To Say.

Porcelain reminds me of Man in the sense that JoJo sometimes doesn't quite hit the mark with her hooks

Hey gurl :gaycat1:

The venue is lowkey in the middle of nowhere but whatever. We'll be standing, and stanning.

Super pumped and super excited for this EP! Really loving everything that is being released ATM

Neither this nor Porcelain are clicking :'(

also, why does she hate Creature of Habit? It's one of my favorite songs from her

She did not write it and she thinks the concept and lyrics are dumb/don't relate to her. It was pushed on her by Warner label execs who said the song would be her path back to stardom (it wasn't).

I'm READY! Hoping for an album in 2025 from Ms. Joanna.

I'll take anything new from Queen JoJo but man, she has so many tracks in the vault since the GTK era as she's always in the studio. Feed us in 2025 mumma and drop that fat sized album after the EP.

this is the less excited i've been for a project of hers. hopefully it will surpass my expectations

Mad love was a masterpiece tbh, should have brought her back fully imo. Good to know had some bops, small things and gold are amazing.
