I'm not into his first two albums that much, but from 'Graduation' onwards... SO GOOD

This album is the shite! I remember getting the CD as a gift and hanging the ballerina poster on my wall

This is one of the most overrated records ever made, tbh. Honestly, I've always found Kanye to be really spotty from song to song and album to album.

kanye's a really good musician regardless of his mental illness and messiness 

I think at the time it felt really interesting to have him saying "am I the monster? Is that…bad?", not just on monster but a few songs and you get the sense of him kind of at war with himself but very self aware about it, and then Yeezus is kinda "yes I'm a bit of a dick but I don't mind", pablo is v much "who you calling a dick? f*ck you!" and it increasingly got a bit tiring (plus he said the slaves should have freed themselves and I saw what was coming)

Honestly my Kanye obsession was always centered around his first two albums. I kinda wanted to understand the rest so I could appreciate them the same way music lovers do but the noise around him made me uninterested. 

PEAK early-10s maximalism. And Lost in the World is a top-5 2010s pop song, argue with the wall.
