Tyler has spoken on how much he dislikes Friday releases so I'm not surprised by the date.

 

 

 

He's right about Friday releases. For goodness sakes just make Tuesday the release day again.

I get it in terms of charting and what not but I still feel like artists should feel free to release whenever they want to tbh. who said there has to be a set day to drop your art? Honestly down for more artists doing whatever they want if they have the freedom to do so! His reasoning behind it also makes sense, a lot of people don't have the will to check out new music during the weekend (stats prove this) but definitely will on their commute to work/school/whatever during the week. Also the music industry works on a Monday-Friday basis as well so I can see the appeal in that regard too.

No yeah I agree that someone should just do it whenever they want. If he wants to do it anyway he can and should. I doubt he cares about charts so much. But I personally love receiving all the music at the end of the week like a treat.  It's interesting that streams drop on weekends tho when part of the reason for the change was chart performance lmao
