It's a shame it doesn't have a DJ attached to it, I think this type of song always does better when a respected artist from the EDM-sphere is connected to it. I think it can still grow if they get the song in the right playlists. 
 

She really should have built upon the momentum of her Calvin Harris, Zedd and Alesso collabs by attaching herself to more dance music pioneers in between Witness and 143. This would have been an easier sell.

They probably think of it as a palate cleanser. WW got people talking for the wrong reasons and didn't really have an audience. They probably feel they needed something easier to digest which would cause less visceral reactions. 

Following WW with Gimmie Gimmie would have been strange. It's the exact move they made during Witness with CTTR followed by Bon Appetit. She probably would have been mocked for dropping a feminist anthem followed by a shallow sex song. 
 

I'm surprised they didn't go with Nirvana though.
