I believe it can become a moderate hit… it wont blow up but it might be stable enough and gather good audience overtime and become a known song. However it all depends on her label pushing the song and Katy needs traditional media presence too to reconnect with the gp. Lifetimes is a BOP. Katy needs to focus on promoting it heavily towards the GP, it sounds fresh and nostalgic at the same time. Everyones sick of the current mainstream, whispered songs and Trap, so this is a very welcome breath of fresh air.

She totally can come back from this. HOWEVER she will need to promote the next single heavily and market it towards other demographics as well. Just the gays and twitter militants wont do it and tbh she should not have them as the main target to begin with. It all comes down to Capitol and Katy not making another not so smart move.

She has to use the story for Lifetimes as a background for the song. Maybe add a small dialogue with Daisy as an intro for the single version. A motherhood/love song to clean up her image with a positive message would be a good idea.

Katy was trying to emulate roar/firework with WW but she failed to notice that her recent viral songs were just simple, well made pop tracks such as TD/HIH. Her team is stupid as hell for not interfering.

Release lIfetime as the next single and save the era

The only issue with WW is that is Katy, any other female girl wouldve been fine dropping it even with Him as a producer. Is catchy and GP received it well. However, considering the attempt of a feminist song and the people behind it, it was not the wisest decision from Katy to choose it as a lead single. She should've started promoting the era with the strongest song (Lifetime/Nirvana) so then a wave of positivity would echoe towards album release day.
