She needs to announce dates for other territories too. I'm so happy that she's still finding success. I honestly think with the right song, album and promo she can still have a commercial comeback. Literally it was just her Dr.Luke association that caused people to just not want to associate and support her and tainted the era. The promo of her live performances are clearly doing wonders for her image as it's letting people know that she was and still that girl. 

 

Also for people complaining at "how basic, generic, lazy" the lyrics are but yet stan Brat need to check themselves. Not everything is meant to be high brow. This is an easy,  breezey, carefree pop record. Just enjoy it for what it is and trust and believe you'll get swept up. Is it her best? No. Is it her worst or the worst thing out there? Absolutely not. 

 

Today I was missing my boyfriend and I sent him ALL THE LOVE to let him know and the track resonated. So clearly the music is good cause my partner is not even a fan like that. All signs point to making that song a single Katheryn!

the prettiest cover, but the lp looks brownish and man that's so thin, I mean printing the standard booklet would make this so much better

I need her UK tour dates already! Hopefully it sells well here. I remember

the Witness tour did okay but struggled to sell out 100%!
 

I think the criticism about Katy's lyrics are valid. They aren't deep or insightful but also that's not what Katy has offered or ever claimed to offer. I do think the majority of Smile and 143 though are a step down from Prism/Witness which have more about them lyrically.

 

Also, I wouldn't use Brat as an example of "basic, generic, lazy" lyrics. 'I might say something stupid', 'So I', Girl, so confusing' and 'I think about it all the time' alone **** on the lyrics in 143.
 

 

i thought 143 would debut at #1 on Billboard's Dance/Electronic Albums chart because albums by Kim Petras or Ava Max debuted on this chart

I definitely think gimme gimme should have been the closing track.

 

 

So has anyone from mainland Europe been able to cop the spotify fans first vinyl? Her US store won't ship to me, Recordstore.co.uk wouldn't ship to me either when they had it in stock (but funnily enough they would ship the indie clear blue vinyl to me if I wanted it), and there's no other stores which have it atm.

 

I don't wanna get it from a scalper on ebay cuz that'll cost hundreds of euros and probably arrive in tatters

Its a brilliant album if you start at Crush. I need Wonder as a single, it screams Katy Perry and I can see it trending on TT too. 

 

I really wish the deluxe tracks were better and more in line with the album. I start at Crush so the album is criminally short and a few extra bops would have been great. 

I've really been enjoying this album, but I have to say the era aesthetics would have felt better utilised if the album went harder with a trance/house/europop sound. 

So random but why did it debut so low in Canada??? (it debuted at #42)

I started doing this and it's become one of my fave albums of 2024. So much serotonin.
