Absolutely love the vocals but not sure about the sound of the song itself if that is the 'hook' per se.

I've never been a Little Mix fan, but I like both Jesy and Leigh-Anne's solo stuff so decided to check out ms Perrie too and I'm not rly feeling Forget About Us but TEARS is a bop in my book!! Love the retro vibes

Good song but probably better as an album track then releasing it as an single 

she sounds amazing on the me, myself and you snippet  I have a feeling tears will be one of the duds on the album, she definitely has stronger material than this

Out of top 50 in the Mids. 

Album not coming is probably a good thing if "Forget About Us" and "Tears" are the strongest / most single-worthy songs she has so far. Both kinda bland and weak. She has the vocals to be a powerhouse dance diva, I don't know why she isn't going down that kind of lane.

There's two things I do not understand:

First is how when she had sessions with Fred Again she ended up with these as the leads, but that said, I do like Tears more than FAU.

Second is how her label doesn't have promo lined up. I might be wrong but I do not remember any Little Mix song being a hit from the get go - they were all performed live at got people's attention by their awesome performance skills (like she did with her Whitney cover). They need to put her on the Telly performing her vocals off.

This song is weak. Cant believe she had sessions with Fred again, he coulld have given her something catchier and more of a radio earworm with some edge to it.  Also work with tyler who made flowers. He's basically on the same label if he made an As it was or Flowers, Perrie would get a headstart.

this was such a misstep. like others have said, they need to pull the plug asap and pretend it never happened. just an all around bad single choice. 

 

her team needs to take a few weeks to go back to the drawing board and come up with something stronger and safer - probably a collab with shared lead credits of some sort - that has more chance on streaming 

 

basically an identical approach to what Zara Larsson did when end of time tanked and she came back with on my love with David Guetta

I agree. This was not the right next step for her. Luckily the album sounds like a variety pack of styles so it isn't indicative of more to come.

Oh dear. Honestly hers and Leigh's teams have failed them. Even Leigh seems to have put the album on hold and is going on a mini tour to at least build up a strong fanbase. If she can do that then she's got a niche audience she can work with. Perrie will probably do the same.

(I actually still think it's a pretty decent listen albeit I've not actually bothered to listen to it once since release day lol. Terrible single choice though.)
