the concept for the music video is kinda cute but it's very obvious they didn't have any sort of budget for it lol

Well they had to pay all those extras

  • Hopefully this is better than Forget About Us. I tried to force myself to like that song but haven't listened since release week...

  • I need to understand the thought process behind this

Yeah I have, only a couple of times and the quality wasn't amazing. I think it's a good song, but I think it will split opinion. It's quite experimental and doesn't follow a traditional song structure (there is a chorus but it's kind of like lots of different hooks stacked up against each other).

Hmm interesting.

It's weird to me how these girls (or maybe it was their A&R actually) knew what hit songs sounded like. These are the same girls that chose SOTMX, Break Up Song, Sweet Melody as singles. Those are TOP TIER pop songs that are full of great vocals, production, everything. It's like they've forgotten what quality music is.

we can only wish that the Whitney cover was her testing the waters to see how the gp would react at her releasing these dance bops with strong vocals..

So Jade is releasing on the 19th July. I thought Perrie said something about them not releasing at the same time? Leigh released the NHF EP literally like 2 weeks after FAU came out. Now Jade is releasing her single like 3 weeks after Tears.

You know it is bad when they use the Little Mix socials...

They had previously only posted the first singles, which I thought was fair but now doing the 2nd single of Perrie's and nothing for Leigh's other ones...

I'm guessing it is because Perrie still has the same Little Mix management and they run the account?

Yeah they're trying to really get the word out on socials but the songs dead sadly. If they feel that strongly just payola the video and song and spam it everywhere. They're obviously not happy bless them. Even Jades just shared it :jonny6:

Out of the charts on second week.

69-OUT

If her team is any smart it's time to move on and release a new single fast.

Not surprised tbh

Not surprised by the lack of success. Perrie doesnt have brand name recognition. They should have approached her as a new artist with some fame, like hop on some big artists singles/ dj collabs to get her name out there and then worked on bangers in the studio and launch her . Sadly, I dont think the album will get released, theres no demand or interest at all. 69- out is ruthless.

I think they meant literally not on the same release date so it wouldn't be turned into some kind of competition in the press, releasing within weeks of each other is unavoidable.

MUCH worse :rip: She's suffering heavily from a lack of artistic identity. Leigh-Anne wasn't able to get a massive hit, but at least her music felt a bit more authentic to herself and she's been able to build an audience on that.

Perrie's music so far just feels a bit… "yeah let's just put that out there" which is a shame. She's so talented, she just needs better material.

Doesn't seem she thinks the album is coming this year like she was saying. She also said it was finished?

No go back in the studio and look for better producers like As it was producers and better songwriters and look for your bleeding love, flowers, As it was, Cruel Summer girl. You need a banger to launch a career not those clarkson dated songs and anne marie rejects...

Not really. Leigh's debut was the absolute wrong choice, as it could've easily been a Little Mix single sound wise. It's never good to talk about "releasing the kind of music that you couldn't do before..." and then doing exactly that. And it came with the same issues as Perrie's debut. Lack of personality (in regards to the sound) and no clear strategy. Everything she's done since then is the exact opposite, but that's the route she should have taken right from the beginning and in my opinion she kind of missed the mark with that debut...
