    I'm Hive but Folklore is arguably Taylor's Magnum Opus. The album that changed the trajectory of her career after Lover. I'll give her tens for that.

    Cowboy Carter has much higher highs and is the more interesting record, hands down. 

     

    Cowboy Carter does have a song I instantly skip tho (JOLENE) and I don't really have specific skips on folklore like that. 

     

    Overall I feel like Cowboy Carter is definitely a better record. It's more artistic and the production / harmonizing / engineering is extremely impressive. More variety and impressive vocal performances too.

    Daughter is better than everything on folklore....what she does on that song is absolutely peerless....truly.

    Folklore is a cosplay of trying to be Lana mixed with folk elements. 

     

    Cowboy Country for me - its daring, vocally challenging, immersive and intentional.

    Folklore

    Cowboy Carter has been out for less than a day... let's not get carried away; it's an ambitious album with mixed results. Folklore is executed perfectly.
