I think you've maybe misinterpreted what I meant or perhaps I didn't articulate it clearly, lol. Compare the average YouTube video views now compared to what they were doing a decade ago for western artists. YouTube isn't as big (for western artists) as it once was. That's all I meant, I didn't mean that it would have no impact at all.

the extended is so lazy. I hate this trend because it really diminishes artistry. I was less bothered when we got bad remixes, at least it was easy to blame the DJ and say the remix is not my taste.

What even is the point of the Extended version ? It's lazy. It is just the instrumental added into it with nothing extra.

To add some extra streams to the overall total but yeah, I wish if artists are going to release an extended version then at least add a new verse or a new bridge like Dua did with Houdini.

totally agree with all of the above

 

that extended version is kinda lame and there's no point in releasing such a version without adding anything to it but some instrumental parts
