It doesn’t make ANY sense whatsoever. In a world where people have short attention spans and there’s oversaturation in the music biz due to streaming and social media, you would think these labels would announce a single maximum 3 weeks before it drops. Anyone else singing this song would probably be an instantly forgettable Spotify playlist filler doomed to peak at #67 for one week.
