Better quality music.

 

Leigh's debut had a terrible music video full of just beauty shots and the song was just okay.  Leigh was also the least favoured member of the group, Perrie's vocals are on another level. I still like Leigh, this is just a much better song, it is that simple.

 

Weird how everything has to do with race...and I say this as a POC.

Well even when Jesy was in the group Leigh was still the least favoured...

 

Jesy left in 2020. The use of the word 'was' is due to Little Mix no longer being active.

I disagree on this being a much better song, I do think her vocals are absolutely stellar and elevate it (similar to how I feel about Dua's Illusion funny enough). It's rather generic though, especially the instrumental which feels super dated

 

regarding the music video - I'm not sure why that's relevant to what I said since Perrie's isnt even out yet afaik

The song could have done better if it actually had a video that had you wanting to keep re-watching, like My Love.

It's giving mature, evolved Shout-out to My Ex and that was her song so I am so here for it. 

I'm very excited for her and for what's yet to come, knowing that all of the reviews we got from her listening parties were that she has so many more better songs to come. I think the second single is called "Rollercoaster" so I'm excited for that.

You've only got to look at their IG followers. The other 3 all have around 10M and Perrie has almost 20M. She's always been the fiat 500 girlies' favourite.

 

That being said, she does have a great voice so happy for whatever success she ends up seeing

The mention she had from her Billboard article about the album spanning genres and vibes is so exciting. She started safe with this song as a reintroduction and we will see her experiment elsewhere! 

Sounds very dated.

I guess they're withholding the music video until next Friday to give the song an extra boost in streams to compensate for the inevitable drop in physical sales and wanting to stop the song from dropping too much on the charts in week 2?

I am pleased for her though that it appears to be off to a strong start as I do hope she finds success. She teased the lyrics to her second single on insta, hopefully I'll enjoy that one a little more than this.

I feel the same. I really wanted to like it but the verses are jarring to me, like she's chasing the beat. I have faith in the album overall though

I'm afraid it'll get swallowed up in the Taylor release if she drops next Friday
