Why couldn't Katy's "365" be a hit?

Why couldn't it be a hit?

Was the subject matter too complex?

Was it not a bop?

Discuss.

It ended up peaking at #86 on the Hot 100.

Cause it is a retread of Zedd’s earlier production (Stay, The Middle, Good Thing).

The video is too weird and Zedd looks ugly in this one :giraffe:

i didn't know this was a FLOP. it went platinum at my local supermarket that's for damn sure

The GP knew this HYMN was too good for them and didn't stream because of it.

The weird tryhard music video is the main reason I feel, to the point where no video would have been better

deserved to be a radio earworm, a durable top 10. the sad thing about a career in the mainstream is that once the flops start coming, its very very hard to come back. had this been a collab in 2012 is would have been 6-7 million downloads deep already.

I honesty don’t know why it has everything to be a huge hit. I thought for sure this song would launch her into the top 10 again.

Such a shame

despite the charts, it's one of her best, imo.  Video is great too, especially that red part.

Needs a five year anniversary TikTok revival

I LOVE this song and When I’m Gone! Katy should do more DJ collabs.

It should have been. The video was also interesting it had a plot and everything.  Maybe the video was too sad.
