- Nicki asks for the verse

- doja delivers

- PF2 gets pushed back

- doja says she's on a different era now so they take her off the song

- time passes 

- doja's team reaches out to Nicki to get her back on the song

- Nicki learns that doja apparently doesn't think Nicki likes her

- Nicki has to write a second verse days before the album drop to make sure the song doesn't get fully scrapped 

 

And she's supposed to be grateful for doja? For what? When Nicki got out of bed PREGNANT at 7 months to record a verse for doja and that's how she acts when Nicki asks her for a verse now? Interesting. 

Scarlet is not Doja’s “comeback” album, if anything the album after this one will be. Planet Her wasn’t an era that she had to “comeback” from. This era is Doja going back to the type of music she wanted to create and to prove a point, which she did (her tour figures prove that). If she wants to make an album full of hits she can, and we see if she cares to the next era.

Exactly. But even if that weren't the case Nicki could've answered it like this:

"There was an artist who was supposed to feature on Cowgirl, an artist who I like and have a lot of respect for. They recorded their verse on the song a while ago, but then my album got delayed, and when the album was supposed to come out, the artist said that they were in a 'different era' and they didn't feel like they'd be a good fit on the song anymore. It was unfortunate, but hey I get it! When we make albums, especially female artists, shout out to all my ladies in the industry killin it, we really get invested in the creative process during an "era." It's not just about the music, it's about our fashion, our hair, or makeup style, even our personalities and how we come across in interviews and photoshoots, and of course our tours. It can get a little exhausting chile and sometimes when we're done with that era, we want to close that chapter in our creative journey. So if this artist felt like creatively they weren't in the same place anymore, I totally get it. I love this artist and hopefully we get a chance to work together again in the future!" 

 

Such a softball question it's embarrassing how she's till tryna be shady and gossip 15 years into her career. Any other artist: Rih, Taylor, Bey -- none of them would be shading other artists like this this late in their careers
