She's actively promoting and keeping the album afloat in the top 15 (in the US). It's just not an exciting era lowkey.

Yeah, I didn't want to say it (as a non-fan who only follows her career on ATRL) but this is definitely a sophomore slump.

 

Maybe she'll do better next time. 2023 was a huge year for the culture, and I think she was simply overshadowed

why would casuals care when it's literally taylor's cosplay album and speak now released right next to it, knock off at best.

People are waking up to the fact she’s recycled the exact same version of herself that was already witnessed/ consumed on her debut and she does not appear to have the intuition, versatility or ability to evolve her sound, visual style or brand. She does appear to be a one trick pony. If she does the same thing on her third album she will fade away.

Why are people suggesting LIE or the other rock songs from the album when it is clear the GP is saying NOPE to her tired rock sound? I would at least try with the grudge and then if that flops quickly move on to a droplet.

She needs to work w the team behind Miley's Flowers, record a song in that same genre and release it as the lead single of the album re-release
