If Houdini is the best song on the album. Insiders are saying Houdini is better than Training Season, this is not a good sign and will be an interesting era

Why am I getting downvoted, at this point in time for FN we had the title track and Physical released.

well if they move on to another single it will be most likely over for Houdini and it will be the time to admit it was a huge bomb for a lead single after FN with huge payola but while we don't have anything fresh and it keeps doing the 2m globally we can try to pretend it's doing something

I just don't think it makes sense to drop Houdini now when it rising and with perfomance and shipping coming soon.

Being a better song  than TS doesn't mean it will be the best song on the album 

and TS could still be a much more basic pop song and still be a bigger hit 

Physical was the best song on FN and it's not the biggest hit

By this point, DSN had essentially run its course in Europe and was starting to blow up so much in the US that a new song release wouldn't really impact it. Houdini is still gradually rising. Its numbers have been increasing steadily week over week since Christmas ended (despite the complete lack of support from the US), and if the trend continues next week, it could be pulling in around 3m streams.

 

A second single would probably cut its legs short so a lot of us would prefer if she only releases another song once Houdini stops growing.

The extended version is incredible. 

They should release 2nd single just before Grammys, a proper medley with DTN, Houdini and new single can give momentum to this new era. If Houdini doesn’t pick up in US, they make 2nd single US exclusive…..

3.5M-4M spotify debut would be good for next single!

Wonder what the radio callouts were. Sensing at least decent esp. as this is def. doing consistently pretty good now and may actually be #7 on pop w/in days. If callouts were as terrible as the initial streaming #s radio would've dumped this asap esp. now that it's a new year. And streaming while not at all great is reflecting what is happening on radio and the overall vibe (one which feels like the song is getting another look in the US). I've been all over the place w/ this song lol. Still feel there's something missing yet replaying it over and over more than ever!     

Guys give up already... She's not gonna drop new music until the awards season is over.

I agree with you. 
 

If you do not love it upon first listen, Houdini grows on you over time. I think that is what May have happened with callouts. It still sounds.

The consistent growth. It’s just past mid-January. And she’s just starting with the promotion.
