Drake teases remix of Ella Langley's "Choosin' Texas"
lol 'what' is Stella Lefty supposed to do? Ella is still ~85 points ahead. Stella is 'gaining' but not significantly. Ella just isn't declining. At worst (even w/out a Drake remix) points are flat. But she's only 1st now gaining on pop & other radio formats. While refusing to budge from #1 on all the big streaming services. Far as Drake...I don't think he's ever 'teased' something unless it's absolutely a done deal. Isn't this his same shtick w/ other past releases before shortly before they come out? Ya, highly likely just a matter of when. Thinking she/her team goes ALL out (Drake, acoustic mix etc..) beginning of the new tracking week this week or next week (both when she's about to tie or break the US #1 record and to go #1 in the UK).

Spotify | Dolly Parton resurgence | "Jolene" #1 WW - 4.73M, #2 artist WW
So ~how many daily streams (Jolene looks like it could be the one) would Dolly need (actually starting tomm.-next Thurs) to knock off Ella? I'd think her biggest Spotify etc...#s are gonna be from Wed, Thurs. (today), Fri & maybe into the weekend. I guess the biggest question & factor that determines everything will be later in the weekend/early next week. She did ~500k more than CT yesterday. Would she need that daily margin (or more) of a lead for a full week?

Hot 100 | Final predictions (9/5/26): Texas #1 (x20), Boston #2, Jolene #16
It also says that Dolly will debut (re-enter) with around 118 points at #16. Very impressive! All a question of whether or not she sustains those initial 2-3 day #s (all or for most of the week) w/ Jolene. I'd think the biggest boosts would occur only for x-amount of days (mostly the shock/newness of when the legend passes away). If she would've gotten ~300 points w/ Ella actually gaining again (296 points!) lol thinking Dolly needed the full tracking week & would've been flip of a coin odds for both. For next week...dunno now.

Hot 100 | Final predictions (9/5/26): Texas #1 (x20), Boston #2, Jolene #16
Thrilled for Dolly but is she truly a threat for #1 on the Hot 100? lol There's just 2 tracking days this week + no airplay. As I predicted she'll very likely show up somewhere on the Hot 100 but #1? Thinking she'd need a full week at #1 on all or most streaming & have pretty massive #s for x-amount of consecutive days. Don't think that'll be likely. This sadly happened under 24 hours ago so it's all still new & raw. Dolly absolutely deserves the outpouring of love and support she's getting & then some. *Oh anyone else notice TOTC disabled comments! Ugh. Ya, there were some annoying loons & bots in the comments but still.

Hot 100 | Final predictions (9/5/26): Texas #1 (x20), Boston #2, Jolene #16
Someone like Queen Dolly (if she had that ONE definitive, decade/demo crossing smash) would actually be a top 10 contender...at least. She's just that much of a beloved heavyweight. Like what happened w/ Whitney in 2012. Her specific passing was actually what caused BB to allow old songs/singles to re-chart on the Hot 100! BB allowed old albums to start charting on the Top 200 again in 2009 w/ MJs death. If what happened to Whitney (& MJ) happened *today their biggest, most iconic songs would most def. be contenders for #1. Dolly got an absolute sh**load of classics (both that *she recorded and obv. wrote for others). Just dunno what '1' song the masses would unify & flock to. Thinking we may see 9 to 5, Jolene, her version of I'll Always Love You show up next week.

H100: Texas #1(x19) ties 2nd longest ever, Boston #2
^ many are saying (at least for this week) any 'larger than usual bump' is mostly due to the album release. Ya, it's def. gaining on a # of formats on radio & doing better on streaming vs weeks ago. But don't think it's 'seriously taken off' yet? It's inching up. But need more seasoned chart experts to confirm. I keep reading everywhere (+ the betting markets) all seem pretty certain Ella is gonna get at least 22- 23 weeks at #1. As I/others keep saying Ella has strongly hinted (barely a week ago) she & her team likely have at least 1-2 other tricks up her sleeve coming (acoustic version that a lot of fans want) + who knows what else. I think she failed a couple x but during some of those 5+ weeks she got knocked off #1 she def. tried to fight fire w/ fire pretty hard. She's both fully aware of the smashery & reeally wants the record! lol Unusual for a 'country' artist. Her actions are of a pop artist.

H100: Texas #1(x19) ties 2nd longest ever, Boston #2
Like I just mentioned in the UK chart thread I wonder at what point/where in points Ella's team is waiting to release that in high demand acoustic version she strongly hinted. If it's coming, pays to preserve it for now. Pretty pointless to release it atp. Even if Ella 'only' ends up 70-80 points above Boston next week that's still a very durable lead. Just a question of % wise how much Ella's team sees Stella closing the gap in real time before the act. + it seems on pop CT is biding it's time waiting for Ariana & Taylor to duke it out before seriously popping. CTs updates are of a song just churning in the Atlantic in hot ocean water. Seems pretty deliberate what they're waiting for. I'd think the callouts are stellar w/ it's bonkers streaming & sales #s etc..

UK Mid: Rein Me In #1x23, Fontaines DC #15, PARTYNEXTDOOR #20; Albums: Paul Heaton #1
Hmm...so what on earth caused Boston to be ahead of CT on yesterdays update? lol We didn't have the #s but it was ahead. In just 1 day CT pulled ahead again & by a decent amount. I wonder if 'any' increase (even on the 1st TOTC prediction) was/will be due to Stella's album release? If so, esp. in the US the difference in points next week will likely be a really good indicator if CT gonna handily go 22-25+ weeks at #1 US AND #1 in the UK in the next couple weeks. Def. curious if Ella can get back to 100 point lead (or pretty close to it). I just don't see how she & her team aren't saving the acoustic version she strongly hinted for the exact perfect time. No need for it this 2nd. But in 2-3 weeks, definitely. + sure her team is gonna push harder for pop to get on board.

Hot 100 | Final predictions (9/5/26): Texas #1 (x20), Boston #2, Jolene #16
Ya, that under 80 point lead prediction for CT (instead of 100 or whatever) isn't that only due to Stella's album being released? They're taking that into account. Not seeing any other noteworthy gains for Boston (or losses for CT). Boston's overall airplay is def. increasing but CT is *still stable ah, #1 on basically every streaming platform.
-
Hot 100 | Final predictions (8/29/26): Texas #1 (x19), Boston #2, Loser #18
So CT has at least 2 things still going in its favor. It's still growing on pop & she's highly likely gonna release an acoustic version. She & her team have shown they're clearly zoned in on the charts during its run vs. most other country singers. Like some said, she'll likely save the acoustic version (& even other versions & tricks) for those crucial 21-25 weeks at #1 AND once Rein On Me goes ACR in the UK. Beyond clear Ella is fired up wanting this record.

US Airplay Discussion
Okay, would 'It's So Easy' please start seriously dropping now lol. Initially, was a smooth, pleasant song. Nothing more. Why/how is it ending up this big and barely dropping. Choosing Texas is only just now taking off on pop! lol. Crazy. The fact she's about get gains there + exposure to that audience= may be looking at a #1 lock well into X-Mas unless Taylor or maybe Beyoncé drops a new song. Taylor is the only one though who'd get more than a front loaded 1 week #1 (atp)

Madonna & Kylie - "Love Sensation" (Afterhours Mix)
Their chemistry vocally, personalities, energy etc...totally electric, magnetic, organic ah. I knew the baseline would be 'good' but they literally crushed it. Meshed into other. 10...20x exceeded more than Sabrina, Britney and ESP Justin lol. She was 'fine' w/ Sabrina and Britney. But in a super safe, corporate, curated way. With Kylie, everything start-finish pulsated & throbbed perfect chemistry. Total equals who showed authentic adoration. You felt it personally and artistically. What we heard it sounded like the recorded duet is already done. Unlike Coachella & BYL just hoping they get it out ASAP (by Friday...latest). AND unlike the live BYL at Coachella I'm actually hoping 'what' we heard is basically the same/very similar to the studio version. We all know how messy the studio version ended up w/ BYL lol (weird, odd vocal mixing etc..) There were subtle but noticeable differences (improvements) in the production, vocals, and flow. 1 instant example: Kylie's repeating/build up to the 'Love Sensation' line over & over was epic, hit harder & longer than Ms og version. Was A KEY vocal hook & highlight.

Hot 100 | Final predictions (8/15/26): Texas #1 (x17), HTIMYLM #2, Petal #5
Ya, Ariana not gonna be the one to give Mariah a Sweet Day...I mean week like she highly likely thought lol. But even if she did, would highly likely be just 1 week. Ella just too craazy strong and still gaining on pop! With a lot of room to grow. Only Beyonce left? But the release date still TBD? If Aug. remains quiet Ella easily surpassing 20+ weeks at #1. More a question of can she make 25 weeks!

Madonna & Kylie - "Love Sensation" (Afterhours Mix)
Oh ya this is LIT. IF it does end up THE duet I'm all IN! Organic, effortless chemistry vocals, flow etc....Perfect synergy. Kylie both compliments M & turbo charges/next levels it too. Maybe this is the reason for Danceteria 'silence' all these weeks? lol Always felt LS was a very Kylie centric song w/ high duet potential. Was 50/50 though about her doing something w/ M on an already released song or brand new. Nah, I want (& *hope) Warner got this juiced up ready to go & pumps out a slightly tweaked, polished studio version asap. Top 20 UK lock...conservatively (min.) if so.

HDD: #1 Madonna 132.7K
M really should've been at like 13-14 US #1s now. If Deeper and Deeper was the 1st single (considered 'safe', radio & GP friendly at the time), no Sex Book and movie etc...Highly likely would've easily closed that 3-4k difference. By a lot. It's all an infamous, 'legendary' era now but mostly to just her core fanbase. To this day 34 yrs later I strongly feel she never fully recovered the US GP soccer Mom's, Karen's & Ken's (but only in the US). ROL & TIC too. Normal/typical weeks those albums were surefire #1 albums. She was dealing w/ The Titantic and Hammer Time & Vanilla Ice. 1990 version of junky, viral, BTS-esque. Rebel Heart is another one. If not for the rule change months earlier she easily would've had it and we'd talking about her 11th #1 album now. But TEN was key atp!! Of course Taylor gonna surpass all of them (ya, The Beatles). But Madonna endured some truly sh**y luck & timing in the 90s (in the US). Much less so in Australia and the UK/Europe.
