Ava Max is just bigger and has wider appeal, but for Charli to pull in as large numbers shows how dedicated her niche fanbase is.

They are both major-label albums (and both singers are Warner artists), so their purpose is actually to be streamed, and Spotify is the world's largest streaming platform! 

charli has been insufferable since familiar froot moment thats why.

 

Ava makes the worst type of generic pop known to humanity so she lost regardless if she outstreamed Charlis mid album.

Not really. Ava was just making an album like normal. Charli purposely made this album for commercial consumption otherwise she would've stuck with her hyperpop sound more closely

Because Ava has had more mainstream hits recently

D&D is the better album and we didn't have to endure any cringe meltdowns from her during its promotion.

Two years ago she was compared to Dua and now she can’t barely outdo XCX lol 

People love to downplay Ava's success for some reason, I don't get it. Kudos to both women though, I like both albums. 

D&D is skipless, can't say the same for that reductive album that displays virtually none of Charli's real abilities

Usually the main singles are the driving force of the album, so it usually isn't much different if we are giving examples with singles

ESPECIALLY not when we are talking about smaller artists like Ava and Charli - who can't be put into a "album/singles" artist bracket
