Misogyny and popstar judgment. their labels didn't fund them and no one wanted to work with them, so the popstars that tried first bombed, and then subsequently the GP would think a popstar would be a bad actor before she even tried (e.g. Britney Spears, who won the razzberry award for worst actress even though her comedic timing is actually on point)

Glitter was pretty bad and I say that as a Mariah fan. The soundtrack is the only redeeming feature
