It's so relieving to know that only working until I'm 85 years old I'll be able to afford a small shelter where to live and after that all of my savings and investments for retirement will worth nothing . As for the song, I don't know, I haven't played it

As a system, I think regulated free market capitalism is fine. Whatever corporatist hellscape it’s morphed into after Reagan is not fine and needs an overhaul.

In a word: it's simply unsustainable, and will collapse on itself sooner or later. 

 

You can make "tweaks" to it that expand social safety nets to citizens of a particular country, but even that capital comes at a cost.

 

You can make arguments it's "the best we have right now" but maybe try telling that to the subaltern.

Not only that, but those safety nets always end up deteriorating as the labour movement inevitably gets weaker in a more "comfortable" society. People love to bring up European social democracies, but forget to mention the wave of privatizations that followed the Thirty Glorious Years. There are no eternal social democracies; the class struggle is always there.
