they are very silent on this upcoming release. I think we will be shocked this coming week! Olivia is Genius. We shall see!

the promo / hype discourse over the last few pages

 

why is it so hard for some of y’all to accept that the promo / hype isn’t the same as with SOUR? no one’s saying there is zero hype, of course fans are hyped. but they would be hyped in the first place anyway & know when the album is coming. the purpose of regular promo is to promote to those who does NOT know the album is coming.

 

her team must be confident with the fanbase pulling through the pure sales, but a little promo or more performances wouldn’t hurt. word of mouth is definitely coming once the album is out, but you can’t predict those things. i said the same for bir or ghb! whichever was coming & look what happened

Honestly if she released the album one week after Vampire it would be better than this but I’m excited anyway

Yeah. Again this pre-release is just boring. You would expect much more considering SOUR was the biggest debut since who know when. It's not like she releases every two months, they should have made this pre-release more exciting. What the hell happened to get him back!  ? 

 

And btw us complaining may be boring but those complaining about who's complaining and pretending this is a great marketing plan are even more boring.

I think the streaming age has pretty much killed pre-album promo, but I do think she hasn't reached the saturation point she did with Sour. 

 

I'm not sure what they could've done to change that, but it all feels a bit too lowkey.
