It already went number 1 and is stable at Top 3/5 in the Hot 100. It did its job, it's doing fine. Not every single of hers will be a DL or g4u size hit. 

I think it’s doing fine. She will probably never have an era as big as Sour again. It was too big. An underperformance would’ve been like a #9 debut.

Maybe she is saving the best for last? This is still a #1 hit mind you, she can easily just use this as her "introduction to the era" moment and drop the more commercial hit closer to the album's release.

I still think she has what it takes to only grow from this point onwards. Even if it's not as big as SOUR, she is still here to stay. For all we know GUTS might be the Speak Now to SOUR's Fearless in terms of how commercial it will be.

vampire is already bigger than any of the speak now singles. don’t think that’s a good comparison.

 

but yeah i’m sure this will be a successful era for her. as long as she has a good rollout, the album will do impressive numbers in the long run 

If it truly falls hard next week, she can rush release a new single imo. Like early august single #2.

No way this is an underperformance for any artist. Not even for Drake, The Weeknd, Bad Bunny or Taylor who are the biggest streaming artists atm. Y'all are either trolling or just being ignorant at charts if u think this is underperforming.

Her team did a lot more promotion for the SOUR album than any of the SOUR singles but I feel like a few magazine covers would definitely do wonders for maintaining hyoe right now. Vampire isn't as huge as her previous singles and they need to do something a little more appealing than those radio interviews that are only rlly making noise and appealing to her own fanbase.

You can't possibly compare Olivia's 2 year comeback to a vault track from a re recording please  that user was comparing album sales which makes way more sense than singles comparisons especially when she's pushing CS not anything from SN

It really does make sense for it to be her SN though, way bigger first week than Sour that's for sure, she's doing amazing on streaming and she's a monster physical seller. The 2nd single will for sure cement that she will smash with her album

I wasn’t  I was talking abt the og speak now singles since the user compared sour to fearless but i agree with you. i don’t think they’re comparable.
