Least profitable popgirls?

Featured Replies

Who are they?

I would expect an artist like Camilla or Dua to not bring in much profit factoring in all the promo/TTH spots needed for their single/records to take off

For the labels? The one’s own their masters.

The answer is 100% not Miss Taylor. The amount of profit she earns off of the physicals copies she sells to children is just absolutely indescribable. She sells her music (no thank to her romantic interests) like nobody ever has before in the history of music (since the 1940s at least). Sometimes, late at night, I cry to Taylor songs.  I, then, play them over and over so I can cry about them with her, and then fall asleep with her with tears in my eyes over and over and over again.

ok?

Camila. 100%.

Between Spotify payola, fraudulent TTH placements, and endless chances to jump-start an era?  If I found out 10 years from now that Epic (already cash-strapped as they value-engineered her debut album (scrapping Max Martin, Ed Sheeran, StarGate, etc. records and replacing them with Frank Dukes)) was using Future's income to keep the label afloat amidst the Camila hemorrhage of money, I wouldn't be surprised.

Maybe? But only because her catalog is very small and she raked out her own money to film the "Wild Side" video. 3B streams with no album in sight must account for something, though.

One of the only girls mentioned so far that writes and co-produces for herself and others? Currently indie? :rip:  No.

The girl that owns her master recordings and co-writes most of her tracks? :rip: No.

her bottom line must be ... I don't even have words for it. Her net income after taxes must be absolutely, astronomically, unreliably, unsurmountably, ... HUGE.

And you get none of it.

ot: it has to be that Chloe girl.

Artists that don't write or co-write songs, as buying songs is costly. Also those that hire hit producers like Max or Luke on the regular as they're expensive.

Also other factors, like do they need a big PR team or payola.

Nah. Beyoncé has taught those girls well: allow endorsements and sponsorships to pay for EVERYTHING.

Neutrogena, Pepsi, Trident Gum, Doordash, Garage Clothing, and Fendi probably paid for those videos, leaving them to pocket the music and film money.

Are you sure? I've heard conflicting stories that she either owns Warner Records to now, or got her LaFace Records albums when she left Epic for Warner as well. Not sure which is true.
