There are also a lot of songs with hundreds of millions of streams, that were never singles and never charted on the Billboard Hot 100, so it serves a useful purpose and also allows people to at least partially audit the Billboard charts.

NO, I think they should do the opposite and update the mobile app to have streaming numbers as well.

 

I'm willing to argue the majority of spotify users dont actually compare numbers with artists or pay that close attention to numbers. They are more useful when searching up a new artist/an artist you are not super familiar with and deciding what songs to play from them.

Maybe? Although the fans of certains girl would die ot boredom since it's the only thing they talk about.
