Which is the better long pop album by Taylor Swift?

 

Red highlights:

Begin Again, State of Grace, Treacherous

 

Midnights highlights:

You’re On Your Own, Kid, Maroon, Midnight Rain

 

Red 

Red has a few tracks it could do without but it's better than Midnights overall. 

 

Sad Beautiful Tragic, The Last Time, Begin Again, State Of Grace, All Too Well, Treacherous, Holy Ground, Red, Forever Winter, Nothing New, I Bet You Think About Me, The Very First Night, Holy Ground, The Moment I Knew... 

 

Midnights doesn't have the lows of Red (Stay Stay Stay, Starlight, Girl At Home, Run), but it doesn't have as many stellar tracks as Red (Maroon, YOYOK, WCS, The Great War, High Infidelity, Anti-Hero are the only songs on par with the best Red songs).

midnights is basically what 13 year old white girls think is a take on alternative soundscapes

RED TV is taylor's best album

I tried listening to red but couldn’t finish it idk why

Red is like the most quintessential taylor album but i do like High Infidelity more than any track on Red

Songwriting and production are much better, which is weird since you'd think an original 2022 release would be better in those two categories, but it goes to show just because something has a more current production doesn't necessarily mean it's a great project.

Lol Red is Taylor's BEST album

Midnights is more cohesive. While the highs on Red blow those of Midnights out of the water, but the latter doesn't have songs as jarring as Stay Stay Stay or as boring as Sad Beautiful Tragic.

 

Though, if Red would be trimmed to a 11/12-track album it would win.

Red has 6 punches back to back plus with great story telling and emotions, midnights has... boring and uninspired pop songs

Red has All Too Well, State of Grace so it deserves to win for those gems alone

 

Nothing on Midnights touches those highs
