Commander I fear 

Commander and it's not even close, literally timeless

Commander easily.

"BREAK MY SOUL" is an impeccable dance production. From the intro's "I'm about to explode" "yaka-yaka-yaka" and the pulsating beat and sample of "Show Me Love," the vocal layering, the production intensifying to the very end of the song, just to revert you back to the intro

 

and these lyrics alone:

"Commander" is super cute and I appreciate the nostalgia and production at the time, but, it's pretty much a basic dance track from the early 2010's and it sounds like it... which isn't a bad thing. Just not a standout. Compared to the production, vocals and lyricism of "BREAK MY SOUL," it just doesn't compare. But here on ATRL we can continue believing that "BMS" is sub par and come back to it years later as a cult classic

At least Commander  was fresh when it came out. BMS was rotten since day 1.

Commander. I really wanted to hear Kelly vocals on a disco ballad on Renaissance! Missed opportunity. 

I like Commander but the fact people drag BMS for being basic and generic is so telling when they praise Commander  

 

Anyways, BMS. Commander is good for a throwback but it’s extremely dated in ways other classic dance songs like WFL/Everytime We Touch/etc aren’t. Motivation >>> 

BMS, easily. But Commander remains a bop.

I love BMS but Commander honestly slayed my entire existence when it came out
