The Pleasure Principle MV Appreciation

Featured Replies

I was on Youtube watching some of Janet videos/performances and came across this one and OMG this has to be one of the greatest dance videos of all time.

The fact that it’s just her no backup dancers or anything makes it even better and still looks incredible all these years later!

This remains a classic, and it also inspired Britney’s Stronger MV. Reminds me of Mya’s tribute performance of the Pleasure Principle too which was a slay.

She’s a real talent.

She’s the kind of artist you have to dig to find anything good from her because her team does a terrible job keeping her brand alive.

Can’t wait to see her this summer!

Wait, you're just now discovering this? This video is so legendary :clap3:

Glad you discovered this since her team is incompetent and doesn’t know how to promote her work!

She absolutely slayed this video!

I’m dying to see her live in concert!  i seen her in person before in NYC but never in concert 😭

Honestly she was revolutionary and paved the way for heaps of artists to follow, and not just in dance. Her lyrical talent, charisma, and style remain timeless. If you haven't seen it already, check out Rythm Nation. This one's my fav of her dances:

She was unstoppable, but I guess bigotry, ageism and racism were stronger and managed to push her on the margin of pop coulture. She is the ultimalte pop girl blue print

It's a hands-down classic, as is the song!

Paula didn't choreograph this. She only worked on the first 3 videos from Control.

She also ghost choreographed the intense chair routine in “Let’s Wait Awhile” :snowman:
