  1. I don't have to do any research as I've been a DC stan / hive since 1997. What you're referring to is intersection. DC and Beyoncé do intersect musically because it's the same fundamentals of R&B and contemporary music, but Beyoncé's overall aspirations as an artist spiral out of destiny's child's universe for 90% of her discography. I'd say the same for Michelle and Kelly, too, actually.
  2. I'm 2 years away from being able to collect my pension so thankfully that's when I'll retire! I think 67 is such a dumb age for pension collection tho I would've liked to have retired at 60
  3. 1997, but I do consider her solo career just that. Her solo career. She and destiny's child's music doesn't even sound similar to me, even though she was the lead singer.
  4. One sided beef. On one hand, I like that Pink was truly competitive in the sport of music. On the other hand, she truly enjoyed disrespecting her peers in the way that a bully would. All of them pretty much ignored her.
  5. Nope. Streaming has changed music to the point that I don't believe there will be any long term superstars in the near future. Even with as outwardly popular Taylor Swift is, I've been able to avoid hearing anything by her from the last two / three years because I only stream music that I'm interested in.
  6. Just turned 40 actually I was 13 when this took place
  7. one of them is me but I'm afraid to admit which one
  8. No Janet loves Latoya, she just constantly trolls her
  9. I'm older but I would say I used to say 2001 (not just for 9/11), but tbh 2016, 2020 and 2021 made 2001 seem like a child's birthday party lol. I would say the late 2010s just accelerated the overall vibe of a dystopian world.
  10. Only once and I learned my lesson. I thought I was witnessing a murder but it was only a small family butchering their own cow that they bought from a farm.
  11. What no one is really going to say: Bad A&R. She's very talented and has a very wide variety of music that keeps getting thrown away (I don't even want to get into it…) But since the start of her career, her label and A&R's have been seemingly against her releasing more urban / contemporary / soul music and I think she's bored because of the industry politics of it all. I think if she had invested in creating a space for herself to release music and more creative work, she'd be in a better space…
