Will Ava Max get dropped?

Featured Replies

im kinda scared for her.

her new album has no charting song (in us)

it seems like she's about to pull a Saweetie.

does she have a legit fanbase to save her.

i heard she is touring. unless she's in a 360 i dont see how her label will recoup money from this era.

what are your thoughts?

She just had the biggest female streaming debut of the year. Hurricane Ava is only starting!

Not after that “Meet & Greet” that was just a photo backdrop of her. :rip:

You wish

She is here to stay, she has the biggest streaming debut for a female album this year and has only received positive reviews from critics. Her fanbase will grow through positive word of mouth

Maxipads are here to stay and we will carry her career as an indepentent act if necessary

I hope not but I agree with OP. She has no audience right now. “Biggest female streaming debut of 2023” means nothing when no one has dropped anything yet :skull: I’ll keep streaming to ensure it doesn’t happen though :WAP:

wait WHATT

she will follow the charli xcx mold. she will still be under atlantic but the mainstream media says NO thank u and the gays will take her under her belt completely. its so funny how the gays will literally always take the exiled pop girl under their belt. :deadbanana4:

even if she quit her singing career, she remains good pop songwriters nonetheless and no reason for atlantic to drop her alone for that reason

Legacy acts (she became one after saving pop with SBP) dont get dropped :gaycat2:

:skull: Y'all need to give her some time, the album is good, people just need to give it a listen. For all we know tiktok could jump on it and make it a hit.

Since there are actual genuines hurricanes with more momentum and intensity than this album :skull:

This isn't a Hurricane Laura or Hurricane Ian situation where the album will blow up later. This is a a hurricane that rapidly weeken before making any type of impact anywhere

She signed with Scooter's management a couple months ago, obviously she isn't going to get dropped. The album is doing fine for her standards... she's not had a hit this era and is receiving acclaim and praise for the album from every corner of the internet

Yeah she somehow scammed her way to a bigger fan base than Kim Petras :rip:

Spoiler

No, because, if we compare her to Charli XCX, she is doing fine.

I just feel like she’s a lady gaga for teenagers.. i find everything about her career very cheap for some reason and I wish I got into her but it’s impossible. I feel like everyone “stans” her ironically

If Xtina, Camila, Demi and Charli never got dropped then there’s no way she will since she always somehow ends up with at least a middle sized hit every 6 months or so and people always check for her at least once. The thing is… if she could keep her base since her music is always same-y and there’s no growth or evolution from her and I know gays would drop her if some other female artists that made trashy dated pop music arrives at the scene and they jump on the train and so on… it’s not the first time this has happened

she needs to push ghost hard with streaming payola , a good video & tik Tok promo

why? there are less successful artists who are still signed, not matter how many times they flop.

I feel like Ava will have a career trajectory similar to CRJ, I mean the parallels are pretty clear

Both of them had one massive breakout hit (Sweet but Psycho/Call Me Maybe) with a couple minor hit singles following through, and the album/era itself (H&H/Kiss) had some success as well. Now, D&D is pretty much her Emotion - only one "hit" while the album itself + all subsequent singles flopped, but at the same time, the era becomes sort of a cult classic with the gheys

Carly hasn't been dropped from the label even after her album bombed so I'd say Ava will be fine :cm:

I say this cause it seems like she actually has a generous budget..multiple music videos...lots of interviews. She's being pushed more than her stats for this era which I love btw. I'm rooting for her but from a mathematical standpoint I wonder how much revenue she actually brings in.
