Let me not be negative and just kindly wish her the best.  I'm excited to watch it.

she will not put on a better show (although she has the larger catalogue of hits) and she definitely wont break the viewership record either

television is not quite dead, but on life support these days.

Isn’t Katy’s number based on people watching it actually on TV live? With the rise of streaming since 2015 I don’t think anyone will ever surpass that amount

No to quality or numbers. Katy’s show was pretty great and I don’t even like her like that. I don’t have a lot of hope for Rihanna’s, although it’ll be interesting to see whether she goes huge or not.
 

Numbers-wise it’s impossible to surpass Katy even if Rihanna’s generates more buzz. I mean, even someone like Taylor couldn’t break that record. It’s just due to the decline in TV audience and also heavily depends on the actual game, which was considered a very good one during Katy’s year and helped a lot. Or at least that’s what I’ve heard, idk anything about it to confirm that.

But she can break Gaga´s record about the most views across TV and the NFL´s digital platforms.

Depends on who’s in the SB this year and what the score is leading into HT, but I still doubt it.
